Panera's food quality is often debated, with some criticizing the use of processed ingredients, while others point to the convenience and variety of options. Some sources highlight the presence of emulsifiers, refined vegetable oils, and potential pesticide residues like glyphosate (Roundup). Others focus on the "clean food" marketing, which lacks a clear definition and has led to lawsuits and scrutiny. Here's a more detailed look: Potential Issues: Processed Ingredients: Panera's menu includes items made with processed ingredients, such as pasteurized processed cheddar cheese in the broccoli cheddar soup. Glyphosate Concerns: A 2019 survey found high levels of glyphosate in Panera's food, raising concerns about potential health risks. "Clean" Labeling: Panera's "clean food" marketing has been challenged, with accusations of misleading consumers about the extent of processing and ingredients. Sodium Content: Some menu items, like the baked potato soup, are high in sodium. Refined Grains: Refined grains, like those used in breads, are high glycemic and can lead to rapid blood sugar spikes. Frozen Ingredients: Some items, including bread, may be frozen, which can impact freshness and quality. Positive Aspects: Customization: Panera allows for customization of orders, such as adjusting syrup levels in drinks or adding extra vegetables. Nutritious Options: Panera offers a variety of salads and other meals with fresh ingredients and vegetables. Convenience: Panera provides a quick and convenient option for meals and snacks. Salad Options: Panera offers a wide selection of salads, with dressings available on the side. Overall: Panera's food quality is a mixed bag. While it offers some fresh and customizable options, it also includes items with processed ingredients and potential health concerns. Consumers should be aware of these aspects when choosing what to order. If you're looking for healthy options, it's important to prioritize salads, vegetables, and whole or minimally...
Read moreI went through the drive through, to order pick 2. Flat Bread sandwich & a Fuji apple salad. After placing my order, I pulled up to window and the young lady took my card, swiped and handed it back. I normally pull up so I can see inside the kitchen, while sitting there I watch the cashier who is working the window make a flat Bread sandwich with one glove on. Being it's a flat Bread at some point you have to flip the other side over. She looked towards the window, to see if I was paying attention, and flipped the bread with her bare hand. Put it in a box, and put it in a bag and walked towards the window and handed me the bag. I asked the cashier did you touch my sandwich with your bare hand? She lied right to my face, then told her I saw you do it. She gets mad, " I'll make you another" closed the window door in my face. Turns and the Manager is standing right there, she looks right at me and walks away. Now at this point I can't see anything/who is making what. A different young lady hands me the bag, then I explain to her I want my money back. She calls for the same manager who said or did nothing in the first place. Now has to refund my money because the cashier I guess can't. After returning me my refund, she attempted to ask what happened now. I told her, will never be back. Customer...

We came in, I got a french onion soup in a breadbowl and my wife got the napa almond chicken salad sammy, no tomatoes due to allergy. Guess who was LOADED with tomatoes? Also the cheese on my soup was still refrigerated, and when I asked if they still melt the cheese on top can I get that done? HOMEGURL TOLD ME THERES A MICROWAVE IN THE LOBBY I CAN HEAT IT UP IN. No. Nope. Nuh-uh. I don't blur the lines between guy who pays for the food and guy who makes the food when we eat at a restaurant. Wife's sammy gets remade, on a dirty plate with a giant skeet of mustard (totally cross contaminated, mustard did not come with her sandwich) covering one side.
Super GROSS y'guys, but true to yourselves. I stand by my earlier review. Manager refunded the meal, but I asked where the pride was? Like is this ok?
I placed order number 475231824 today, for rapid pickup. It's called rapid pickup guys. Not lose the food, not leave the completed order at the kitchen window. So I sat for 5-7 minutes past my order completion because something was so very awesome on the cooks cell phone that he couldn't be bothered to put my order out. We've had nothing but problems from this location and I fully believe that this place could not get an order right even if you incentivized...
