In Response to the owner’s comment. You are incorrect and obviously out of touch with your business. The review and pictures are for the TFL on Memorial in Tulsa, very shortly after the store opened November 30, 2019. If you will look at my pictures you will see a metal tray with two tacos. Each has a wedge of lime in the taco. Enlarge the picture if necessary and you will see that top the taco has crab cake. I distinctly remember what I ordered and wrote the review shortly after the visit. Browse through the posted menu pictures and your will clearly see crab cake tacos on some of the earliest pictures. If you are confirming that the crab cake tacos are no longer on the menu, that confirms that TFL recognized also that they were a failure. The review was originally posted on Yelp.
November 30, 2019 1 visit to Tacos 4 Life will last me 4 life! I describe it as an average fast food fusion taco place. We tried a good variety of their menu. Everything was fresh and tasted good (except the crab cake taco), but nothing was so good it would bring me back. There is a varied selection of the tacos, salads and sides; all mildly seasoned. We started with the Ultimate Trio, a bland combo of guacamole, salsa and queso. It was very fresh. Of the tacos we tried, (classic beef taco, chipotle taco, blackened Mahi-Mahi and the crab cake taco) two stood out. The classic beef taco was the best and the crab cake taco was terrible. The crab cakes not only looked bad, the taste was not appetizing at all. No crunch, mushy and dark colored. It didn’t look like fresh crab. All of the tacos were packed full with ingredients. No skimping on the meats. The Ultimate Nachos were generously loaded with the black beans and guacamole. We add the grilled chicken. It was a big, big serving and they were fairly decent. If you want to add some heat to your meal, you are limited to their one bottle of Cholula, if you can find it. If Taco’s 4 Life would add a salsa /condiment bar, with a good variety to match the foods they offer, I might be back. Right now I am one time and done. The dining environment is a noisy mess hall. Order your food at the counter, get a number and it is delivered. All of the employees we interacted with super nice! The restaurant “supposedly” donates a portion of the money you pay, to an organization that provides meals to children in other countries. That seems like a good cause. But a better option is to eat at a good Mexican restaurant and donate money to a charity of your choice! If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection "Jalapeno Highway" on Yelp. I've...
Read moreWe will not be returning to Tacos4Life. It was a bad experience all around. We walked in onto a sticky floor. We had been looking forward to trying this place. We love a good taco and have multiple places we frequent for tacos. There were 2 of us. We ordered 4 different tacos, the mexican corn, and the queso rice, as well as a small order of queso and chips. The chips and queso were okay. Nothing great, but edible. The beef taco was ok as well but the tortilla was soggy and the ground beef we thought was very similar to Taco Bueno's beef. So meh. The Chipotle Steak taco was actually good and the one thing that we actually enjoyed. The chicken bacon ranch taco was disgusting. The chicken was shredded but had no flavor or seasoning whatsoever and they put this weird "ranch" stuff on top, which in no way resembled ranch and had the consistency of soft cheese that has gone off, very grainy and just yuck. It also tasted very much like it looked. Neither of us could swallow a bite of it. The last taco we tried was pork carnitas. As far as flavor goes it had some and was decent. It came with cabbage and one small sprig of cilantro. However, the cabbage tasted very dirty and they had not drained off any of the juice the pork had been warmed in, so the tortilla was completely soggy/mushy. The Mexican corn tasted like a can of corn warmed in the microwave then a little cotija, crema and cilantro thrown in. Not good. The queso rice was steamed rice that tasted like they used tap water to steam and hardly put any queso in. So also not good. The two of us combined ate some chips and queso, one and 3/4 tacos and just a bite each of the sides. This order along with soft drinks was around $35. We left without being satisfied and feeling like we wasted $. I would have much rather gone to a food truck taqueria where we would have had delicious tacos, full bellies, and probably spent less $.
Also when we got up to leave, the light coming through the windows revealed why the floor was so sticky. You could see the dirty residue streaks everywhere left from the dirty mop they had used. That makes u wonder if they aren't willing to replace a dirty mop head, or dump mop water, what else are they not doing back in the kitchen.

Read morePlace is nice and clean, despite being packed full upon my arrival. Easy to access, there's 3 points of entry. 1 from the main road, and 2 from the access road for the shipping center behind the building. Parking spaces are scarce, but it's a short walk from the parking lot of said shopping center if needed. Walking in, the atmosphere is bright and fresh with a light blue being used throughout most of the dining area, with some orange and real wood paneling. There appears to be 2 entries, one for dine in, and another for carry out, along with a drive thru. Menu is simple and easy to understand, though i did have to look for the sides for a few seconds for finding them. Meals come with 2 tacos (on your choice of tortillas, 4 to choose from) and a side. I bought the mango habanero tacos on steamed corn tortillas, with a house salad as a side. Make your order, your given a number, and you find a place to sit. I was by myself for this visit, so i sat along the front wall where there's a high table to sit at. My first (and only) real problem came at this time. The barstools used here are.... Small.... I'm a skinny dude, and even i felt the seat was too small and uncomfortable (i keep sliding forward in the seat because the backseat support keeping pushing me off. The table seats seem to be your normal size though. Another issue in relation was there was no foot rest under the table, and because the seats are so small, there wasn't room to comfortably place my feet there either. This is a bit odd since that's a pretty standard feature for a high table like this. The food was delicious though, and came out pretty quickly for how busy they seemed to be. There verified my order for me, and they noticed it was in a flour tortilla. They quickly corrected and apologized. Huge plus for them spotting that before i did. That's knowing your own menu. As far as food and staff goes, 5 star. But the barstool seats and lack of a foot rest, killed any chance of a perfect 5 star from me..... But still worthy...
