Update at 3:51 PM. Still no power. Was able to find a very helpful Hilton rep to switch our hotel...on the 4th try. Most reps wanted to talk to the front desk and kept saying they're not picking up. Had to repeatedly tell them that the power is out and the phones are as well. Hilton needs to do better with communicating with their properties. I should not have to hunt down a front desk person to confirm a power outage at your hotel. Then we had two reps that wanted to charge us for the hotel switch. Just sad. Currently, it's 1:56 PM and the electricity has been out since 6 AM due to a thunderstorm (not the hotel's fault). The power outage seems to have only affected a few businesses near us. Others have electricity. Our 2nd floor hallway as well as the stairwell are pitch black (hotel's fault). No emergency lights. Nothing. Apparently, there is an emergency generator since the 1st floor has some lighting. Unable to call front desk because room phone is not working and cell call to front desk not going through. Update: Staff are using flashlights at the reception desk. Just sad. Sun is shining in hallway now but stairwell (emergency exit) is still pitch black. I'm sure this is a safety/fire violation. Lesson learned- carry a flashlight when we travel...or get an RV. As for customer service, my husband prepaid for our room but the front desk charged him for our rooms again instead of charging us for incidentals. After a heated back and forth, the front desk person stated the double charge would "fall off" after checkout. Mind you, we have a 3-night reservation for TWO rooms that we have now been charged twice for. Will update once the pending charge either falls off or posts. The other staff have been friendly and helpful. Update 5/31/25: We were later charged for incidentals for our two rooms as well as another $120 charge for each room. Apparently, the hotel charged us for an extra Saturday night...that was included in our PREPAID stay and the other double charge at check-in. Makes no sense at all. Please check your credit card statement after staying at this hotel. Husband was able to get all of the extra and double charges removed after speaking with Hilton corporate. Room was not throughly cleaned and the floor has several stains that I had to tell the front desk about so they would not charge us for it. Plenty of blonde hairs all around the room for one to find and a yellowish stain on the box mattress. Front desk offered to switch us to another floor; however, we do not want to move and be on a different floor than our young relatives that traveled with us. Extremely dusty fire sprinkler in the bedroom area and I'm not sure if the caked on dust violates NFPA 25. Also, the mini-fridge works when it wants to. Update: Just realized another reviewer from 4 months ago stayed in our same exact room because he posted a pic of the same floor stains. Going to check now for the mold stains...yep, still there. Don't know how we missed that. Will update with a pic once the electricity comes back on. Update: Unable to take a pic of bathroom because electricity never returned during our stay. Location is fantastic. Lots of eating and shopping places in walking distance. Just watch out for the horrible drivers in the parking lots but that's everywhere now. Forgot to add that this is our 3rd time staying at this location and the first time having several issues at once. Usually it's the mini-fridge not working or the shower head being permanently pointed towards the side wall making it hard to shower.

This was the most dilapidated Hampton Inn or Hilton property of any kind that I have ever been to. No issues with the staff, and the location is good. But the elevator and rooms are very musty and yucky smelling. My colleague asked the staff if they were aware their carpet smells like dog urine and she received a simple “yes” response. The furniture in the room is all very damaged and stained (the sheets were clean thankfully). The bathroom shower insert is so old and although it seemed “clean” it just looked filthy because it is so stained and discolored. The grout on the bathroom tile floor is disintegrating and just imagining the bacteria, dirt, etc. in the cracks is so gross. I saw a review on google from months ago about the pool being closed for a scheduled repair. Well, I would never go in this pool regardless, but the sign is still up and obviously there is no repair scheduled or intent to reopen it. I’m sure there are no funds for a repair. The hotel should take the pool amenity off their listing. Lastly, the AC units kick on and off and there is no option for constant fan, so during the night is just is running then switches to dead silence and wakes you up over and over every time it kicks on. So much parking lot noise comes through the AC unit, it sounded like a stereo in my room when parking lot folks were blasting their car stereos. 0/10 recommend this hotel. Checked out after the first night and moved to a Garden Inn thank goodness.

If you look at my reviews I am not one to complain too often. This Hampton just seems to be very old and since I am someone who has always sworn by Hampton inn & suites I was quite disappointed. A toilet bowl where the seat was only as high as my shin and it's not like I'm a really tall guy I'm only 5 ft 10. The place is quite old and needs an update I've got scheduled a stay at Hampton inn & suites in Pennsylvania in September and I hope I don't find the same situation or I will permanently switch over to IHG. I have included photos because I feel they can do the best job. You can decide for yourselves if you're used to Hampton inn & suites if this is a place you would want to stay at.

Overall this place was fine to stay at, I think we just got unlucky with our room.

When we arrive to check in it was late and everyone was tired from traveling (me, husband, and one year old). When my husband checked in at the front desk they couldn't find out reservations. They were able to find them after some time searching and we unloaded everything and went to our room.

Once we got to our room we found out the deadbolt didn't work. I went to the front desk and she said sometimes they get loose and just need to be tightened. She came down and tried tightening the strike plate and that didn't work. She went and got a new strike plate and installed it and that also didn't work. (This means this door hasn't had the deadbolt working in quite some time, if ever). She said it is a relatively nice neighborhood so we should be fine for the evening and to just use the latch lock and maintenance will come first thing in the morning.

Maintenance finally came around 1:00pm the next day. We had a sleeping toddler and asked if he could come back in an hour....he never came back. So we just kept using our makeshift lock of chairs and tables in front of the door.

The rest of the room was decent, they seem to have a cricket problem as there were several in our room. The toilet paper dispenser wasn't fastened to the wall so the whole thing would lift away from from the wall revealing the insulation in the wall behind it. There was also dog food underneath of the couch as well.

I wonder if this is a room they don't use often and placed us in it since they couldn't find out reservations at the beginning.

Overall it was a decent stay, just a little upset after spending more on a suit to get placed in a room that didn't fully lock and had some...

If I could leave zero stars I would . I traveled from Florida arrived late . Checked in one room and it was filthy . Mirrors were full of dust and spots . Floors dirty . Contacted employee he then moved me to another room. I walk in this room and was beyond disgusted by the hair on the toliet seat the dirty tub black spots everywhere . Then I pull down blanket on bed to find more hair from previous guest as if they never washed linens . Dirty Qtip from prior guest next to bed. Mirrors filthy and spotted . Lamps full of dust . I contacted General manager next morning he sends head cleaner I did a walk thru with her she basically could not say anything . She said she would come back and clean I requested she come back by certain time as I needed to step out for awhile she said ok never returned. Final day I went to return key requested to talk to General manager in person he made excuses for the proof of filth not once but, twice !! Never offered to refund my money for not doing his job as it's his responsibility to run this hotel and the cleanliness for guests . Also, the elevators were filthy and smelled dirty!! Do not stay here ! If your traveling go elsewhere ! I will never stay at Hampton Inn anywhere !Lastly , they charged 8.00 on my card that was not authorized. That is stealing so be aware of this I left a message on general managers answering machine he never returned my call . I'm in process of filing charges against this hotel ! The employees are so unprofessional . Smoking throughout hotel ! I will be reporting general manager to corporate as well .I did take several pictures but, not allowing me to post online but,I will be sending to...
