La Reyna is a pillar in what I call here in East Tulsa as taco truck district . Pulling in the parking lot that they share with skate world on the southern edge and back facing 21st street 2 blocks east of garnet, I noticed a different truck with new lights around the border . Was worried at first but that went away when soon after seeing the La Reyna sign lit up . Atmosphere is really nice and mainly family oriented and usually you will see family’s eating at one of the six picnic tables out front. I usually ( depending on the times) sit in my vehicle while waiting on my food . Sometimes there’s a wait but never to long and the food is always hot and never cold . The food there is good .. I use to say great or the best but since the taco truck rush of 2018-19 and more competition I can’t say they are absolutely the best but more like average . They have in their ice chest Bottled Jarritos with the flavor Tamarin and mandarin. Also they have strawberry Fanta in a bottle but no Coca Cola in a bottle they have just coke cans . Some of the taco trucks around here have bottled Coca Cola from Mexico ( they use real sugar)and hands down the best and almost a deal breaker when taco truck shopping . I have been eating here three la Reyna taco trucks ago and still come here to eat when it’s 2 in the morning and needing some comfort food this is the...
Read moreDisappointing food, dry and plain. Working late in Tulsa from out of town, I wanted a bite before turning in. I had chicken burrito, but I am not sure what style this was prepped in. It was a tortilla with plain white meat chicken, white rice, white cheese, white onions, and a little cilantro. White ALL the way through. Then chicken was a dry, shredded texture and didn't seem to have much of its own seasoning or flavor. There were no beans, crema, or lettuce... Just dry chicken and carb-y rice and tortilla. I know some authentic Mexican foods are simple, but they build on good clean flavors. This didn't have any flavor to begin with.
I was also the only car in the parking lot and it took them about 10 minutes to throw all that together for the order. Most of it should have been prepped already so I have no idea what took so long.
And $10 for a burrito this plain? Those prices don't match...
Read moreI cannot express how rude and straight up mean these people were. Their food is okay but now I don’t even want to give a compliment … if you want to feel horrible about yourself than this is the place for you. I was insanely kind to the person taking my order, she said it would be 45 mins so I went to wait in my car and she said she would call me. After 1:10 i called and tried to get an update she says “JUST WAIT ON YOUR ORDER” and hangs up. Without giving me any chance to respond at all. When I tried to call back, I was declined.
I have never experienced unkindness and hate like this from anyone.
I hope everyone else has a...
