Flaming Pig BBQ — Restaurant in Tumwater

My wife and I had tried to eat here for over a year. But due to our schedules and their hours it didn't work out. Finally, two days ago we ordered take out and were really excited. However, after we got the food to say we were disappointed was an understatement. We ordered Chopped Brisket Nachos, Smoked Ranch Wrap, and Mac and Cheese. The Nachos were a disaster. The Brisket was "chopped" into pieces way to large to consume. And we had to cut it into much smaller pieces. Also, the fat wasn't trimmed well which resulted in a lot of fat we had to cut off each piece. I understand that brisket is fatties, but this was too much. The taste of the brisket was also pretty bland and the other toppings couldn't save this dish. The Mac and Cheese sounded great. Four cheese blend. Instead it had the consistency of rubber cement. Overly gooey without any flavor. It definitely needs some seasoning. In this case, less would have been more, but instead we were left with way to much cheese and something I make better at home. The Wrap was decent. The better of the three items, though not by much. Also bland, and the chicken didn't taste fresh. Although not a complete disappointment, I still wouldn't recommend the Wrap. For a local BBQ establishment, I was very underwhelmed. I prefer Dickies Barbecue Pit over Flamming Pig any day. Due to all of this I have no plans on eating...

I'm giving 3 because while disappointment I dont want to bring their rating down too much.. We paid $67 for 4 meals Another $7 on drinks 2 of them being kids meals, only recieved 1 kids meal. We were not very impressed by the pulled chicken it was a bit dry and not seasoned very well. Mac and cheese was okay but also a bit dry. Cole slaw, was not the best. Sausage Link was our favorite Brisket kind of tasted like liquid smoke with not very much seasoning. But the worst part was that we were visiting from out of town and very hungry looking for a good family meal, the initial man taking our order had the lovely kind woman take over our order half ways to talk to some people behind us(She was awesome!) For how much we paid, they completely forgot one of our children's plate. We only found out after we had driven away to our campsite. We tried to call for a refund on that plate, no answer and left a voicemail but we still have not heard back. Maybe we came in on a bad day.? Try it for yourself but dont ya hate it when you get excited for BBQ and not only does it not taste as you expected but they forget an entire order?! 😩💔 We were trying to save money on our trip, decided one of our splurge would be good food. So I’ve been here twice now. The first time we went, we were browsing the menu when some larger fellow (from behind the counter) started asking us intrusive questions, making us uncomfortable. He literally asked my husband if he was rich. It was really distracting and we just wanted to look at the menu. We did our best to smile and nod to get this guy to leave us alone. The 2nd time I went, I was there to pick up an order we made online. I get to the counter to say “hi I’m here to pick up…” and before I can finish the same guy interrupts me to say “sorry we’re closed.” Which I guess he thought he was funny? I said haha, and then tried to finish my sentence. He interrupts me again to say my order isn’t ready (I haven’t told him the name it’s under) and to have a seat. I’m not one to make a fuss so I sat down. I figured if this guy’s wrong I’ll find out soon enough. About ten minutes later my order was ready, but it was wrong which I discovered after I got home.
