My wife and I have been going to this location for about 8 years, when it was Enjoy Teriyaki before becoming Niko Teriyaki. Recently, 9/25/2017, I placed an order for Mongolian Beef and Tempura Prawns for my wife and Yakisoba for me. I specifically asked for there to be absolutely no spice in either dish. So far, so good. I pick up the food when it was ready and brought it home, we ate about half that night and the other half the following night. This is where things take a turn for the worse, my wife took a bite of hers and immediately tasted a hot burning sensation, the kind you get when you bite down on a really hot pepper. Lo and behold, it WAS a hot pepper, not just 1, but 3. After the first pepper encounter i dug through my wife's meal to find more, i found 2 more, so we have 3.
So here we were, my wife in agony as she is trying her best to muscle through the pain. We confirmed what we ordered and decided to call the next day to give them some feedback on their food. My wife called on 9/27/2017 and reached a lady who did not understand her and was handed off the a male that had also stated his English was not that good. Thats ok, this is just some feedback and an FYI about their product, not English Lit 201. My wife explained what had happened and was immediately met with a defensive remark of how the peppers in the Mongolian beef were "decoration and not meat to be eaten". This would be believable if the peppers were neatly placed on top or along side of the dish as garnishment, they were not, the peppers were mixed in, almost as if they were part of the meal.
We will probably never go back, not due to the peppers being in the Mongolian beef but their lack of customer service and willingness to hear their customers. We will really miss the food, we just cant support a business that has no desire to hear their customers when something has gone awry.
Dear Owner, Its ok to...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Caught exhausted, biking from one of my missions I have never observed such a thrivent atmosphere where they kept my glass full. I've never had cashews in my stir fry before and it was the most filling food I've had in such a unique place. Close to the gym, secluded by one of the best places to catch the tumwater sunset, and some of the best orange chicken I've ever had. Their kitchen is both professional, but homely and offers a great space for both take out and dine in seating.
My thanks to the staff and the people who make this place an incredible place to eat. I wish I could leave six stars for all they do in...
Read moreI've eaten at this restaurant many times over the years. I invited my friends to have lunch here today. The food was good, but the cashier messed up. She ran my friend's credit card, charging the whole group on it. She had to fix that. Then, I told her my order was the one with a drink (the others just had water). So she ran my card, but just for the drink. She said, oh well, I already ran it. Then ran my card again for the meal. We all got to go boxes. One lady forgot hers, but returned within a few minutes and they had already tossed her box out. She had hardly eaten any of her meal. They didn't offer to make it right. Last time I'm going here. They just...
