I look forward to new restaurants opening. Usually it is a chance to experience the best quality food and service that a chain has to offer. This is why I was so disappointed in my first visit to the Tumwater Wendy's. I used the mobile app to order and arrived to pick it up only to find it pretty difficult to locate the drive through entrance. Once I did, my food was ready fairly quickly. There was still a wait at the window for the order to be fulfilled. When I got home the food was wilted and soggy, the nuggets were slimy. It was mediocre food at best but they had also forgotten one of my sandwiches. I called and was asked to return to pick up my sandwich. Upon returning there were people leaving the Oil change shop and people approaching Wendy's drive through from both directions and I couldn't get into the parking lot. I had to wait for a line of cars to pass before parking in an empty lot. I went inside and the person at the register had no idea who I was or why I was asking for my sandwich. She got her manager who was also clueless. Finally the woman I talked to in the phone stepped in and I got my sandwich. It looked like it had been setting under the lamps for the entire 30 minutes it took to drive back and find a competent employee. Read moreThis is by far the worst fast food restaurant ive ever seen. The employees are very nice but execution is so bad. Since the store in tumwater opened ive probably went there 10 times. Their frostys are never really good like ever other wendys, maybe 3 times they were ok 4 times almost ok and 3 times chocolate milk. They have the slowest drive thru and when you finally get to the window the frosty is sitting there. This is a new store, never having the frostys frozen is user error and 100% a management issue. I could get a frosty at the tacoma wendys drive back to tumwater amd it will for sure be better then getting it at the tumwater wendys. But im not commenting to shit on them, ive worked it restaurants for a long tine and I can tell by the loom on the employees face that they add either really understaffed or have so much turnover that somebody is always training. I hate to say it but tumwater wemdys clearly has horrible managers that lack high standards themselves and that is just trickling down.. Poach a couple really good assistant managers from well ran wemdys so they can help right the ship... I never leave negative reviews bit that place is horrible. Read moreNo one is trained. And it's all excuses and next to no customer service. Line is long at 9:35 pm. We give it a try. Holy!! We must have waited 15 minutes just to order. Have order girl get distracted on our one item order. Figured it out. Now we wait an another incredible amount of time to even pay. Finally get to pay, I'm paying with a card. She says may not be possible due to internet issues. Well thank goodness the card worked. Wait.... Get to the window and it seems from my observations the teen guy has to remember what it is he's doing again on each and every order. It's an ordeal and we're talking about burgers and fries. So we're finally ready for our one item and he tells me oh ya the machine is broken. Why did I just pay? Why didn't anyone say anything. Why have I just say here for 30 minutes? Don't worry you'll be told you only ordered 14 minutes ago. That doesn't account for the first 16 minutes I spent waiting to order. Unbelievable is the only word I can think of.
