Updated 8-24-2023: My guest from Sequim arrived late so we ordered Halibut & Chips from The Brick, which had been good when ordering in the past. However, I was first met w/a very condescending waitress taking my phone order and at check-out. But the worst was finding one of the orders was burned & both orders looked saturated in oil and smelled bad (that telltale nauseating "old grease" odor). I called the store to get a refund but again got the rude waitress who argued burned fish was my fault as it sat under the lights too long! It had not! I noted that if that was true--why was only one of the orders burned. So, she put her manager on who first apologized but refused to give me a refund on my order and they would replace only the 1 burned order. He said he had to call the owner, which he did and then stated they wouldn't refund me but I could have a replacement of burned order. I said that was inadequate since the entire dinner experience with my guest was ruined--that my brother was having fish all by himself while I've been put on hold by the two of (he and the waitress) AND my fish is burned! I again requested a full refund, but he refused saying the owner would allow replacement of burned fish order but I was required to order it in the store and wait--I would not be allowed to call in my order! I asked why should my replacement order be any different than the order I've already paid for and that has been burned and stinks. He insisted that they don't allow fish to be ordered for pickup, but I asked why then have I previously been allowed to order by phone many times. It felt retaliatory. I advised him that rather than sitting down and enjoying a meal with my guest I'd spent all this time on the phone with he and the rude waitress. After he again refused to REFUND my order I advised him there was no way I would comply with his demand that I come into the restaurant to order my replacement take-out fish order. Instead, I should have received a sincere apology for the burned fish, for ruining dinner with my visiting guest, and a FULL REFUND! Also, besides the fish being burned (I tried to eat the small end of one piece and it tasted of OLD rancid oil--both to me and to my guest). You are forewarned. Again, I ought not be forced to go in to store to order my replacement order. I ought to have received a FULL refund and even a complimentary meal. But I especially deserved a sincere apology! ________ The Brick on Trosper is recommended. I formerly said, "The Brick...epitomizes the very best in local business and cuisine;" however, have since found they are hit or miss re staff, especially in the lounge. Brother and I went there for dinner on way home from Mariners' game one evening and decided to dine in the lounge as we wanted to watch the game recaps. We sat and sat...for more than 20 minutes and no one even acknowledged us. When we finally flagged down the blonde petite woman whom we presumed was either the manager or owner to let her know how long we'd been there without a waiter, she angrily scolded us, "BE patient! She has a lot people!" I've managed restaurants and that is NOT the way to treat customers. We wondered if we were ignored because of the color of our skin and were about to leave when a server finally came by. She was very saucy and superior. As for the menu, they feature a full-family menu with something for everyone and the food is absolutely delicious. We've never been disappointed in the fare. I especially love the Seafood Fettuccine. Prices are reasonable. Again, In terms of service, most of the staff are friendly and attentive with exception of the described terrible occasion and one other less than satisfactory dining experience. However, the wait staff in the dining room have always been top-notch. Also, the to-go order staff who take the orders are awesome. Regrettably, I must edit my earlier 5-star review to 3 stars and rescind my former closing comment, "An outstanding experience every time!" Instead, I would say it is mostly a positive experience.

Sept 2019 - Update Not sure why we do not visit here more often. We always sit in the bar, so I do not have a dining room experience to share, however the bar is always welcoming and has several booths and table in addition to car seating. They do not have a lot of specials that I have noticed, and on previous visits I have noted that happy hour is pretty limited, so the menu is what you get, but it is large and there is plenty to cooose from. This recent visit was for a late lunch and we had the California Chicken Burger - minus Avocado, and the Rachers Chicken Burger. I also had the Mermaid Juice drink which was super yummy. Food came out piping hot and was very tasty. Previous Reviews I hadn't been here for a couple years, but visited again this month and wanted to post new pictures. I didn't feel like the happy hour menu was as good as it was several years ago. Not as many items to pick from and there was a drink special I really liked that was gone. They do have nightly specials that seem pretty good. I will say that the happy hour wine pour was the biggest I have seen in a long time.... yikes! I am not sure how she made it to the table without spilling it. For food we decided to share the Rancher Wrap. It was good but I found the sauce a little too mayonnaise like for my taste. The service was really good and they corrected the one problem we did have very quickly. The fries with our wrap came out VERY COLD. I just mentioned it to the waitress and they brought out a plate of super fresh ones - service recovery! Overall it didn't strike me as over the top amazing, but something I would try again. I also included pics from another visit - Nachos and the Malibu Punch drink - very good!

This is another restaurant that I have driven by for years and decided today to try them. Large parking area. The restaurant is divided.... as you face the entrances, the bar is on the left, and the restaurant is on the right. As we walked in, we were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant was at 10% capacity. As we were seated, we were asked if we knew what drinks we wanted, and we told our waitress. Soon after, drinks arrived. Another few minutes later, we were ready to order, and the waitress was ready. We ordered halibut and soup and a cob salad. The meal arrived 5 minutes later. The halibut portions were small, yet they were perfectly cooked. The tartar sauce was bland. The coleslaw had cranberries in it and was interestingly different. The soup of the day was chicken Chile Verde, also good. All portions were small given the price of $22 bucks. The cob salad was presented nicely, but it was noted that meats were also scant, but the tate with the dressing was good. We sat in an area where the ceiling drywall was damaged. Overall, it was a good meal and priced above market. The menu is quite diverse.

My mom and I have been coming here anywhere from 1 to 3 times a week over the last year and a half. We occasionally have issues with the food or service. However over this time we finally got a few good servers that have been great. They are upbeat, happy, friendly, provide great service, and when something is wrong with our food they are on top of it. Last week we went in and asked if we could get one of their sections and were told no, that they had to seat us in order of the section who was next. This was where our service and food went down hill. The server was not upbeat or smiling. Was not very attentive. Wrote.pur food.order on paper where usually the other staff put it in a little kiosk. We got our food and shortly after we.stafted eating I noticed an issue with my calzone. (Our regular servers can recite the order from memory). I ordered.meat sauce and got marinara.with meat added inside the calzone. I ordered chicken and after ope ingredients up half of it I did not see any chicken. Took me 10 minutes to flag down our server. When she came over I pointed out the issue and she took it back to have them remake it. She then came back and started to argue with me that they found chicken in one corner of the calzone but it wasn't spread out but they would replace it because they screwed up the meat sauce. I emailed the owners through their website about the service, food, and complained that we were told we couldn't get the servers we wanted. As of today I never received a reply.

Tonight, my mom and I decided to come in tonight off our weekly scheduled outing and decided.to sit in the bar for the first time and we're planning on playing pull tabs while there. We saw our server from the week before but were greeted by another lady. She took our drink orders and came back 5 minutes later telling us we have been banned from coming there due to an issue from the previous week. The owners didn't even have the balls to come talk to us personally and had our server who was mind you flabbergasted and very apologetic who had to give us the news we were no longer welcome.

We have given this place a year and a half of our visits. Not just us but other family who join us on occasion. Now.we are no longer allowed to eat there. I would expect at the very least, the owners to come talk to us since they refused to respond to our email the week before. I have never left them a poor review because our regular staff always worked to resolve the issues when there were some. I guess they don't want regular customers that spend a few hundred dollars a month and tip well when we get good food and...

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Honestly would have given 0 stars if I could have! This place is an absolutely HORRIBLE establishment!! It is almost police report status!! This was our FIRST time here!!! The manager Melvin is RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL and a DISGRACE to anything customer service oriented!! We came in for the first time tonight because of the Thursday burger and beer special that they had advertised on the website. Online the price says $11.99 for a burger with beer, house wine, or well drink . We ordered two burgers and two house wines. We were expecting to pay $11.99 for each Burger. To our surprise when the bill came the cost was over $54! We kindly approached the manager about this issue, and were told THREE times that the difference was going to come out of HIS OWN pocket, because he wasn't the owner, and it wasn't his fault that your prices have gone up,! I showed him the advertisement online, asked for him to honor the price. Then he came back with a receipt that was still $10 more!!! When this happened we approached him again, and we're RUDELY told to go outside and leave whatever money we felt was fair on the table, and that we were not allowed to have our service animal inside!!! On the way out a couple of drunk patrons followed us outside, and continued harassing us!! At that time, Melvin came outside and was egging the patrons on in what they were saying to us! We were NOT trying to cause any problems, nor were we loud, rude, or disrespectful!! I would highly suggest anytime getting video footage to see the incident!! We will not only never come back, but I will tell other friends who have already visited not to ever come back and I will let everybody know to never visit that place again!!! As customers, we should never ever feel endangered or embarrassed due to somebody else's mistake. I can even understand it not being Melvin's fault, but that could have been handled so completely different! We should never be made to feel the way we were made to feel! I would even be so bold at this point to ask for a total refund from your organization for the money that we had to pay into that night in order to not be arrested for stealing. I say that because I was that close to walking out without paying a dime, but we are HONEST, KIND and RESPECTFUL people! The food was so good that I signed up for VIP status immediately, but then this happened! I hope the customer service is better online than it was in your...
