I’ve been going to Deans since 1988; however after my last visit I’ll have to think twice. Upon walking in I was the only customer besides the three employees, I ordered my normal two family size pizzas with Xtra cheese, upon paying the employee turned to begin making the pizzas. Now I don’t know what was happening before I walked in or where the employees hands had been but they were not washed first or at the least use food prep gloves. I decided to let that one slide; however what happened next is what prompted me to right this review. As the pizzas were being prepared another employee was sweeping the floor and continued to sweep around and under the prep table and at one point a beam of sunlight came through the drive through window illuminating the cloud of dirt coming up with every stroke of the broom. At one point the employee picked up a rug and gave it a quick jolt before walking it over towards the front counter before dropping it. All I could think about was to leave and not wanting to make a scene and against my better judgement I took my pizzas and left. All we can do now is hope and Pray that 425 degrees will kill any bacteria that may have landed...
Read moreMy kids absolutely LOVED this pizza!! Thee ONLY reason im not giving it 5 stars is because the guy at the register was on the phone for about 35 minutes and the line was out of the door. When i stepped up and asked someone if they help him, all the workers just looked at me. I then said, can i just pick up my pizza? And then someone got me the pizza ive been standing in line for 35 minutes to pick up. ALSO, they dont wesr gloves. I watched like a hawk before ordering to see if one of them fixed their hair or rubbed their face or anything and they didnt. BUUUTTT I really feel like they should wear gloves and hair/facial hair covers!!!!
Other than that, the pizza was better than little Cesar's and wayyyyyy better than pizza hut (yuck!)!! I got a $10 gift card from my boss and i am soo happy i did!! We will definitely call this our #1 pizza go to place in turlock!!...
Read moreI've been coming here for years and I really love the pizza. But the last time I was in here I noticed the way the employees were wrapping the pizzas with Saran Wrap by pulling it out and sticking it under their chin at first. The guy working had a beard and wasn’t wearing a net. Now I had ordered my pizza fully cooked and when I got home there was a hair baked on the pizza, so I can only imagine how much is getting on the uncooked wrapped pizzas. I wish there was some rule stating employees should wear nets if they have facial hair? I probably won’t be eating here again it was...
