Five Below — Local services in Turlock

The store is a new store just recently have been open about a week ago. They're still fixing everything up and trying to put everything in place so it might be a little chaotic while people are shopping. Everything is mostly $5 and under, but there are some things that are a little bit of above $5 but under $10. They have about 7 self checkout registers and one register that is not up and running yet. The bathrooms are very clean one is a family size bathroom, the other is a family size bathroom with changing table. They have cold drinks and snacks towards the register as you go to check out. They have social distancing signs in the checkout line. Painting supplies and beauty supplies, clothing, tech supplies, party supplies, cards, reusable totes for .25 cents. They also have a very friendly young lady working there named Stephanie. She was very helpful with questions that we had and was working very hard. She seems like the only one working there because the other employee went to lunch, I didn't catch her name but she was a thin pretty blonde. There was a lot of people this Sunday. The one thing that bugged me was I came in with my friend and her daughter who is Handicap and was in a wheel chair. The ramp was blocked off had to go under the yellow caution tape and move another section of the caution tape to get through. I asked the blonde that was leaving for lunch why it was like that and she said because they've had two accidents down that ramp. The other thing is both bathrooms were out of paper towels.. Not a biggie just needs to be refilled. We spent $60.00 and we are happy with our take homes. I got a easel and some candy. I can't wait to come back and see the store...

Went to five below on Tuesday at 7pm. Awkwardly greeted at the door store was stocked for once however there is always an odor when I enter this store smells like piss or armpits. However the worst part is when I was walking past the “Sanrio/hello kitty” area I heard a worker (young woman dark brown hair in a ponytail) talk to a customer also a young woman saying she had saved her the plushies she asked for specifically “I was only able to get you these because they made me put them out on the floor so I had to hide these for you” which I find unacceptable!!!! How are you going to be a greedy unfair worker and hide things just so people that you know can get something? I’m sure there’s a policy saying otherwise and hope this gets fixed!!! I hate that you go for something nice just to figure out it’s probably gone anyways because workers choose to “save” the items for friends or to make an extra buck. It should be fair for anyone! If they don’t make it to get an item then...

Not to busy, store was in somewhat of a mess there was merchandise just thrown on shelves out of place. The staff was not very friendly or helpful. We were looking for Popsicles sticks in the craft isle in which that particular section was one of the aisles that was totally in a mess with no prices on most of the merchandise it took over 10 minutes to get assistance from a staff member. There was one staff member on duty that was visiting with what I'm assuming was her daughter and her boyfriend I was able to get her attention but she continued to visit with them. At checkout a couple of items had no pricing on them and the clerk had to ask another associate for assistance. It took over 10 minutes for her to get help. Not very professional...
