Okay...where to begin. The first time I came after waiting in line for 30 minutes I asked for a classic chicken sandwich, no pickle. My chicken sandwich tasted like they had put the pickle on it, but then removed it after they remembered I asked for no pickle. Okay, no biggie, I ate it, but I hate the taste of pickle. Second time I went, it was late evening and they had ran out of their classic chicken sandwiches. Disappointing, but I wish they would of had a sign saying they had ran out, instead of waiting in the drive thru. I honestly think they had chicken sandwiches in stock, they just didn't want to cook any because it was late. Third time I go, they charged me for the wrong order, which was more expensive. I told them it was wrong, and it took them 10 mins to give me a refund. And then they charged me for my original order (they should of not charged me at all with the inconvenience). Fourth time I go, was today around 2pm. They weren't too busy, and I waited about 10 minutes in line. Once I arrived at menu/ordering speaker, I was then informed that their systems were down and couldn't take my order at all..... Why can't they have someone come out/put a sign out that saying that they're temporary closed!!! Argh!!! I really wanted a chicken sandwich so I called about an hour later asking if their systems were back up. They said they were. So I went back around 3pm, waited about 30 minutes in line. Once I finally arrived at the speaker to order. They told me they were out of chicken sandwiches. So now I've waited 30 minutes for them to tell me they are out of the one thing I wanted. They need to have a sign out letting people know they are sold out of chicken sandwiches!!!! So inconsiderate!!! Also they are so slow. So much slower than the other Popeyes in Ceres. Don't go to the one in Turlock....
Read moreThis location ran real good when they first opened up few years ago. Now the service quality is really hit & miss. The chicken is usually tasty and hot, but it seems like over 50% of the chicken pieces are mostly skin and breading with just barely a decent amount of meat, especially the wings and thighs. Although, the legs and breasts are usually nice and meaty (as you would expect). However... there seems to be a trend towards lower service standards. For awhile now, I've noticed that the street sign is turned off during business hours, probably to make potential customers think that the store is closed, so the employees can easily clean up and leave the store right at closing time. I know about this trick because I pulled this same trick when I worked in the restaurant business in the mid-1970's. Also, more than once, I have seen a sign on the locked lobby door in the evening and late afternoon hours saying that the lobby / counter area is temporarily closed due to maintenance issues. Then the sign instructs to use the drive-thru instead. When we got to the drive-thru and tried to order a chicken sandwich, nope... sold out. Then we tried to order some wings, nope... sold out. At this point, I got so annoyed that I gave up and drove off to KFC down the street. Question: Were they really sold out (at 8:45 p.m.), or maybe they just didn't want to cook anymore tonight for easier and quicker cleanup at closing time? Hopefully upper management will notice this trend or see this review and whip this store back into shape. This store was usually busy most of the time, but now... I don't see much activity at this location anymore. I think the customers are just tired of the inconsistencies in service and unpredictability. Sincerely, a concerned, but loyal...
Read moreI'm not even sure where I want to start... Food- almost always fresh chicken, but some sides sit there for so dang long! Horrible Mac n cheese, beans and rice are the best out of the sides, coleslaw is ok at this location, not sure about the Cajun rice, mashed potatoes and gravy are good, biscuits are dry AH like always at every location lol I'm now veganish/ full vegetarian, when I did eat meat and such I LOVED their popcorn shrimp. Used to literally order 3 pounds of just that and like 3 large beans and rice, 2 large mashed potatoes and gravy, and 2 things of biscuits. I was 130 when I used to eat that lol but it was so good! So it was hard to stop eating lol Ok, the bad about the food- IT TAKES SO LONG FOR THEM TO GET YOUR ORDER OUT!! And screw going into the drive thru. They take, and I'm not exaggerating, at least 3 minutes to even greet you. just to ask you to wait a minute that usually turns into 5 minutes at least. Not too much better inside unfortunately.
Staff-rude and disrespectful. Super careless. Some of the are friendly enough and some work really hard and you can tell. But I'm general, for most, just bad work ethic and customer service skills.
The restaurant is usually clean because no one is ever in there or eating there. This isn't the most popular Popeyes I've been to or seen. I doordash as well and they are even ruder to the dash drivers. Those orders can take 30 minutes + and of course they're always rude to YOU for them taking 20 minutes longer than they said it would be.
I would never...
