Salt & Pepper Taqueria and Catering (Turlock) — Restaurant in Turlock

We've gone here twice and the food has been fantastic! We had shrimp tacos, the California burrito, and a chicken torta, and everything was yummy. So much flavor!! We will be going back to try more for sure.

The only complaint (which is really more of a heads up than a complaint) we could muster had nothing to do with service or the food. It's a smaller establishment, and the majority of it is occupied by the kitchen, so obviously, it was a little warm inside. It's not a problem for us, we just gout our food to go, but if you're hoping to stay inside and eat your food, it might get a little warm. There is a small outdoor area with shade you can sit and enjoy your food at if you'd like.

We ordered 3 REGULAR burritos and a side of rice and chicken. The burritos were huge! One burrito could definitely feed 2 smaller adults or 2 older kids. They were so delicious!! You can tell how much care this business puts into making their food. Everyone eating inside had beautiful looking dishes. They serve everything like a high-end restaurant. So disappointed in the service I just received. I love their food, but they burnt some chorizo tacos. No big deal. I called and the guy was defensive and said that's how they're supposed to be. Then said I could come back and they would remake it even though it's supposed to look like that. So I get there and he looked at them and said they're fine. They were not fine, they cracked when I tried to bend it and was charred.. Blackened chorizo is burnt.
