I was happy to see there was a new Indian restaurant in Turlock, more options are always better but this wasn’t how thought it would be based on all the glowing reviews. We ordered butter chicken, chicken biriyani, garlic naan and mango lassi to go. I’ll start with the butter chicken, the one I was most excited to try. The color looks like the typical creamy reddish gravy with chunks of chicken in it, but the flavor was so not at all what I expected. The curry flavor was lacking and tasted mainly tomato but had a sickly sweet flavor to it like that of cheap marina sauce from a can. Honestly I’ve never had a sugary sweet butter chicken before and I won’t be again. The chicken inside was just alright, tender but nothing to write about. Garlic naan was also just alright, pretty soft and lacking in the garlic. The chicken biriyani was slightly better but nothing having that sweet taste in whatever sauce the included chicken was cooked in. The flavor had a heavy cardamom taste with pockets of peppery spice. Overall these two dishes were disappointing more than anything else. Mango lassi was thin and lacked both the tangy flavor of the plain yoghurt and the touch of salt that a good lassi usually has. Mango was also pretty weak, could use more actual mango in it. I’m disappointed that the food was so bad because the service was actually pretty great. The gentleman behind the counter was helpful and polite. I think I’ll be sticking to either Tikki Indian or Nagina...

Read moreAbsolutely Horrible Experience.. Worst food i ever taste.
I ordered chicken tikka masala with 2 butter + 1 garlic naan , chicken dumplings, 2 samosa & gulab jamun. Food was disaster. First of all, Garlic naan was missing, got rasgulle instead of gulab jamun. Samose was burned & stale, dumpling smells bad. Chicken was smelling really bad , it smell like an expired chicken and masala’s. It was not eatable unless u want to get food poisoning.
To make matters worse, the service was incredibly unprofessional. When my husband called to complain they acted like we are the problem, and keep arguing about that, this is not the way customer service work. we trough the food in the garbage. It was just waste of money. i spent $40 to just got disappointed. I understand everyone make mistakes, but the way they deal with customers they need to learn some customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this...
