This visit occurred at 11:30 a.m. on November 28, and was a pickup after placing the order online. The website worked well and the ordering process was fast and easy.
The batter fried fish appeared to have been cooked in very old oil: 1)There was a heavy dusting of black flecks on the crust of both pieces of fish, and the crust was soggy, discolored, and had very little crunch. 2)The taste was Poor, with a burnt, smoky hint to it. The fries and coleslaw were Very Good to Excellent. A picture of the plate is included with this review. Iced tea and a cheesecake wedge with strawberry topping were also ordered. The quality of these was Very Good.
An order expediter quickly and efficiently bagged the order, taking care to read the ticket to be certain that all items were accounted for. He called out the shopper's name, and presented the completely filled bag. But, when the shopper reached for the bag, the expediter said in a nasty tone, "Could you wait until I am finished?!" When told that it looked as though he were finished he responded, "I haven't tied up the bag." Other parties present and waiting for their own orders noticed this exchange and remarked about it.

Read moreAlthough I checked the first fish dinner in my bag before leaving the restaurant, when I arrived home, I discovered the fish on one of the plates was not prepared as ordered. I was extremely reluctant to return the dinner to the restaurant, but my mother (100 years old) was leaving my home the following morning and really wanted fish from this restaurant before she left. I could not believe how understanding, caring and apologetic the entire staff was when I returned to the restaurant and explained why I was there. They apologized for the mistake and went far beyond what was expected to correct the mistake. Not only did they prepare a new order of fish, they also prepared fresh hot sides. They offered me a soft drink while I waited and made me feel valued as a customer. Although the entire staff (counter staff and kitchen staff) was so polite and caring, the lady whom I believe to be the shift manager was unbelievably nice and courteous. She engaged in conversation and made me feel so comfortable as I waited. They would have treated any customer the way they treated me, but it made me feel valued and special. Read morePouring rain when I got to the drive through. Two ladies were outside with a headset to take orders but the signal was cutting out (Back door opened & a coworker was telling them). She apologized and said I could order at the speaker. Then I was confused...I assumed the speaker wasn't working and that's why they were out in the rain... Anyhow, I pulled up, placed my order at the speaker without issue. Unsure, but thought the car ahead of me left without their food. At the window, they were verifying what I ordered. There was a moment of confusion but one of the women who'd been outside repeated exactly which sides I'd asked for (!). The woman on the register repeated the total I was given over the speaker and I paid. By the time I was putting my card up, they were already handing out my bag!
