Total waste of money. Guess they didn't read the manual on first impressions before opening. I believe they have only been open for a week. Setup: 4/15/2024, 5:32 p.m. Transaction #3888. No one in line and no one in the restaurant. Used the drive-thru, "Cashier 400" (guess mama couldn't come up with a real name) took my order very quietly but politely. Went straight to window where the person was polite. Received food fast but had to wait on the drink which was overflowing with coke and ice and the cup was covered in coke. I had to remove the lid to empty some out and clean the ENTIRE cup before I could put in the cup holder. There was four people that I could see and saw talking with another(s) in the back. No obvious manager or owner in site. Got to the place in less than 10 minutes where I ate the food. $10.90 for (5) tiny, shrimp sized chicken fingers, rubbery fries, and burnt toast which I thought might be salvageable until I tried to eat it. The toast was trashed because the taste of the burnt part was all over it telling me that the grill was burnt as well. Note some of the pics shown are where I added pepper and salt. The tiny chicken has been something that all the Guthrie's that I have eaten at in Tuscaloosa/Northport has been moving towards. Granted this was by far the smallest I have gotten in a couple of years. The ONLY saving grace of the meal was the coke which was great. So for the full amount of $13.41, I only enjoyed the coke. This will be my last visit to a Guthrie's waiting on a real chicken finger place to open freestanding locations like Raising Cane's. KFC's new nuggets are many times better and two larger nuggets make up one of these pitiful fingers. It is very sad that owners expect us to just say "ok, thank you ma'am" for such low quality but high priced food. I do not mind paying for something if it is worth it. This was a total waste of money in every sense except for the coke. Advice: drive the one block up to the KFC or next-door to Taco Bell. I have heard that someone from Switzerland or Sweden (maybe another country in that area) opened this Guthrie's. If so, this was probably an investment to get citizenship but hopefully they realize that southern folks are not as dumb as they may have been led to believe and try a...
Read moreGuthrie's should pay me for this... Absolutely wonderful experience. Fries were the best crinkle fries I've ever had, with a rare crisp I don't usually see, and warm, Chicken was crispy, sauce was tangy, coleslaw was moist and juicy, toast was so buttery, the exact memory of the old original Guthrie's if not better. The wait was worth it and the dude in the window was friendly. No long lines like at the Taco Bell next door. The only thing I didn't like was the jacked up prices but that's everywhere and there's nothing we can do about that. Please support this locations so they don't remove it again. Thanks Guthrie's, and no, I was not paid for this...
Read moreAfter waiting about 10 minutes for my food, which I thought they were having to cook, freshly hot with the way they was acting, I immediately started eating as soon as I pulled out of the drive-through and everything was cold. Toast was cold. Fries was soggy and the tenders wasn’t even like warm. I’ve never had a bad meal from Guthrie’s till today and I...
