Jackie's Lounge — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

Worked here for 2 weeks and couldn't stand it!! First mistake was accepting the job....the owner told me he was a racist in the interview and I later learned that if a black person wanted to work at Jackies they had to write a B on their application and then they would throw it away. The owner is a complete douche and they don't even have an up to date cash register, I would have to count how much money to give back to the customer and he would yell at me in front of customers if I was about to use the calculator that was right next to the register. Nothing but white trash at this place. And they don't even have a dishwasher to clean...

The owner of this place is the worst. My friend came in and ten minutes later he told us she would have to leave if she didnt get a drink right now. We kinda thought he was kidding at first bc of how rude he was being until he came around a second time telling her to come with him and he was kicking her out. We tried to explain that our friend at the bar was getting her a drink and he continued to argue with us. Our friends werent surprised when we told them about it because they all have similar experiences with him. Will not...

We were at the game this past weekend and we had the BEST experience at Jackie’s. We parked a little far away for my elderly father to be able to walk all the way and stopped to get some drinks and find a taxi or shuttle service. Everyone was so nice to us and helped us find a ride the rest of the way to the stadium. They were so helpful and kind and you can tell they truly love what they’re doing and love to see folks walking by. They’re a joy to be around and we’ll definitely plan to stop in the next time we’re in town!...
