Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

The staff here is one of the worst fast food staffs I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t help that you can actually watch them work while you wait, or in my case, not do anything. I ordered a sandwich online for pick up, and set my pick up time to be in 25 minutes. When I went to pick up my sandwich, they hadn’t even started working on making it. The ticket was still sitting right next to the printer. I thought to myself, “ok, this is fine. I need to run another errand near by, and I can come back when I’m done with that”. I went and did the other errand, and came back to the restaurant. They STILL hadn’t started on my order, and it took them 5 minutes before they even started working on it. The time it took to cook my order was less than 5 minutes, but from the time I placed my order to the time it was actually done was over an hour. Please, staff someone who’s actually responsible and can get the teenaged employees to do something instead of just stand there and stare at you when you ask for your food that you ordered...

Let me start by saying that I usually only leave reviews when I'm able to boost a business, not hurt it, but this is totally unacceptable. I would give zero stars if allowed. I have never eaten at Jersey Mike's and will probably never do so again. My coworker and I unexpectedly had to extend our 12-hour shift and were struggling to find a meal for the evening. We decided to try Jersey Mike's. My dear hubby, who had also worked a very long day but was now off work, agreed to go out to bring us dinner. Attached, you will see a photo of my hot chicken sub as it looked when I opened it, and my husband's didn't look any better. They were soggy, smashed, and did not taste good at all!! Sadly, I opened mine after the drop off, and I was not going to ask my husband to go back for a redo. He said he threw his away and ate something at home. I had no choice but to try to at least eat a portion so I could complete my late shift. This made me so sad. Jersey Mike's, if you are reading this, please...

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I think there is a big opportunity for improvement here so I wanted to share my feedback. I love Jersey Mikes and have been to many different locations all across the US and this is the first bad experience I’ve ever had. I ordered a sandwich for myself and then asked the staff if they could just melt some cheese on some bread for my kids. Essentially a toasted sandwich with only cheese. The staff wasn’t very friendly at all and I got the impression that they could do this, but just didn’t want to. I would have paid the price of 2 more regular sandwiches if they had accommodated the request and I also would have left a much more generous tip. That is lost revenue for the store because I ended up not getting them anything. The bread on my sandwich was also stale and very crumbly, it kind of just fell apart and crumbled everywhere when I picked it up.
