As of my first time here, I do not have one complaint. I enjoyed having a cocktail that was actually made well, yet different than what I would normally order at a bar.
We had no expectations going, but I must admit I was a bit intrigued by the reviews. Most are great reviews, but the few that were bad, stuck out. So again, intrigued. Luckily for my husband, I was intrigued so much, we went out on Saturday night. Or maybe it's my love for whiskey? 🤷♀️
I ended up enjoying three cocktails of a drink I never had before. Why? Was the drink really that good? Or was it the music? Because the music was pretty spot on for me.
So good drinks, good music.
The atmosphere has a bit darker ambiance with marble booths and velvet backing. There is a small open space in the back for larger groups. Or maybe just great minglers.
The staff was friendly during our drinking hours.
So good drinks, good music, good staff...
Read moreIf you’re an allocated bourbon fan, ask before they pour! A friend and I went to enjoy a couple of bourbons last night. Ordered a round ( two 2oz pours) of Elmer T Lee and then a round (two 2oz pours) of Old Forester Single Barrel Rye.
When closing out, the bartender could see the shock in our eyes as I received a bill for $120 for the Elmer and my friend $150 for the Old Forester. He asked if anyone had explained the prices when we ordered, which we replied no. The bartender explained that they have placed extremely high prices on their allocations so a few people do not wipe the bottles out upon arrival.
I cannot speak to the price of the Old Forester, but this would have been a great heads up on the Elmer. It’s a great bourbon that you usually pay $10-$15 an oz at most bars (2oz pour would have been half the price.
Overall great atmosphere and spot, just could use some transparency on...
Read moreWe visited on Feb 15, 2020. The bar is beautifully appointed and the drinks were very good. We called our daughter and her friends, UA alum, to join us. They decided to use the restroom before ordering and were accosted by one of the workers (a manager?). He yelled at them for their audacity to use his facility without ordering, then aggressively pursued them as they headed for the door. My husband and I were sitting outside and witnessed his pursuit of them as he aggressively threw open the door, and quickly apologized to my husband and I as he realized they were with us. I am appalled by his behavior. I could understand a conversation with them about the facilities being for customers only, but pursuing three 23 year old women like a predator is absolutely uncalled for and I will NEVER return nor recommend this place to anyone...
