Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Tustin

• • MY NIGHT AT CARL'S JR * * * 6:25pm - Ordered food. (Time on Receipt) 6:44pm - I'm sitting in Carl's right now. The fact that I have time to notice 20 min have gone by, multiple people have been served ahead of me and time to write this is pretty bad. 6:56pm - Finally got the attention of someone cleaning tables to check on it. Seems no one knows anything... 6:59pm - Went to the counter, asked her what happened. She said they didn't see my order. (I've never heard of a fast food restaurant not seeing an order. Don't they have a system in place?) 7:02pm - Just saw someone else get served a big order. 7:05pm - Someone came back to talk to me, not the manager. She said it seems my order wasn't on the screen. She said they will make it for me. Then started walking away. I said out loud, so you mean to say you haven't started making it yet? She said they will do it now. I reminder her how long I've been here, since 6:25. I said, just look at the receipt. She nodded her head. 7:11pm - Just got served. Bonus! My order was done correctly. Asked to see manager. 7:42pm - Have repeatedly asked servers that I still want to see the manager. 7:50pm - Just finally got it out of the server that the manager is not actually here. He is at another store. But Olga, in black, fills in for him. She is not coming over it seems. 8:03pm - Went to counter and asked for the manager to come out from the back. Turns out Olga, the shift manager, is the one who took my order. I asked her a simple question. "Do you think it's reasonable to have to wait 45 min to get your food in fast food restaurant?" In very broken English she said "no." She said that someone delivered my order to someone else. (Notice a different answer from before.) My next question was, "What do you suggest doing in terms or restitution or consideration for all of this?" She asked me what I wanted. I gave her my receipt and asked her to reverse the charges. I said thank you and that I trusted her to take care of it and went to my car to finish this post. I always like to see if people want to do the right thing. I'll know in a few days. BTW, she also gave me a coupon. YEA! :-)

I also made sure to let the girl that delivered the food that I was not at all upset with her. That I knew none of this was her fault. After she left the table I was thinking I needed some catsup. Didn't see anyone for a long time and didn't want to wait another 45 min so I went ahead and ate my burger. Good luck at this location. Your mileage may vary. :-) Ron

I don't like Carl's Jr. The burgers are bland, and very dry. Its like they're afraid to use condiments . I do eat the fries. They're okay. But I have found it to be better to eat the fries first,cause they are gross when they get cold. My dig won't even eat them. It doesnt matter if the burger get cold. They taste the same, hot or cold. I've tried the mexican food there too. Many times. It was awful every single time. How can a place where every person working there is Hispanic. There's no Caucasian, Black,or Asian or anyother ethnicity working there,that I've ever seen for over 25 years.So how is it ,that they screw up everything I've ever gotten off of the Mexican menu. Example: enchiladas. One of my most fave foods in the world.This is what I get every time I've ever ordered the cheese enchilada. A little paper plate quality little rectangle dish. I side is a corn tortilla straight out of the bag. Its rolled into s very loose roll, tube, whatever you decide it is. I side is maybe a tablespoon andahalf of grated cheese. The cheese is still in the little shreds. Not melted st all. No sauce coating the tortilla. The tortilla is not soft and it is not even touching the cheese. On top of the tube is a bout 2 tablespoons of some kind of sauce that taste like the can. And a few shreds of the unmelted cheese sprinkled on top of the sauce. There is no excuse for that kind of ineptitude of preparing a food that is supposed to be a staple in the culture of every person working there.. I can't in good conscious say eat here. I live locally and stop by this Carl's Jr every now and then. A few months ago I had a bad experience that left such an impression that I doubt I'll ever return. I opened my burger to find the bun ripped and food entirely unappealing to eat. I went to return it for another one and the employee rolled his eyes at the notion he has to do work. No acknowledgement of their error, no I'm sorry, no attempt to make it right.

If you screw up, attempt to make it right. Dont scoff at the customer for making a valid complaint. I waited at the counter until another burger was cooked up. Employee at front never once looked at me, ignored me completely. Only helped non-busy drive-thru. When my burger was ready, took him 2 minutes to realize it and bag it up. Never once looked at me.

This wasnt the first time I had bad customer experience. But it will be my last. Horrible restaurant because of the staff. Giving it 2 stars because half way decent food.
