Raised by Lions Coffee — Restaurant in Tustin

Finally writing a review after having tried this spot a few times now. Raised by Lions Coffee (RBLC) is located about 15 min. away from Irvine Valley College, since I actually find good coffee hard to find in the Irvine area. Of the drinks I have tried, I like:

the maple cinnamon latte with oat milk with light ice. This drink can be a bit sweet, so I recommend getting an extra shot or lessening the syrup. the hazelnut latte with oat milk, hot, less sweet.

I have tried the ube latte but was not a fan. I don't think RBL has gotten this drink down quite yet with the ube flavor and coffee. Ube is a hard flavor to pinpoint down as a whole, and even harder in coffee without coffee overpowering it. The colors are very nice though.

The coffee shop has always been clean whenever I have stepped inside, and the place is dog-friendly. There are some seating areas inside the store, but it gets filled fast with students studying. Most of the time, some of outdoor seats are opened.

One important thing I want to highlight though is the great customer service by Diana and Gustavo. 10/10 for customer service. Both individuals are incredibly patient, helpful in offering suggestions, and very welcoming. Kudos to both for being incredibly kind. I appreciate that Diana has mentioned if a drink is not up to my standard, she would adjust it for me and tell me what her recommendations are based on what I like. Overall, RBL is a pretty good...

My new favorite coffee spot!!!! I've been seeing this on IG and Yelp check-ins so I was curious and it was such a good spot, I love the flavor of the iced coffee, it was perfectly made to my liking since I'm so picky. I got the coconut vanilla latte and would definitely get this again. Anything with coconut and I'm all for it. I also decided to try their avocado toast even though it's so typical and how can you mess it up but I added feta cheese to it and you can also add an egg, but I don't really like it with an egg. The feta cheese made it even better and they even offer complimentary chips to go with it! What? chips? That was nice and it was so nicely paired with it. I was actually going to try their breakfast burritos but they only offer it on the weekends. I wonder why. I am curious about that for sure. And they have the Fivestar rewards if you're interested in giving them your number. You get free stuff once you rack up a certain amount of points. I can't wait to...

Coffee is good but customer service is terrible. Every time I have tried to order a food item off their menue it literally takes 20-30min. I gave them 3 seperate opportunities to redeem themselves and each time same deal. Today topped it! I ordered a BOILED EGG... nothing crazy. 15min goes by and I ask for an ETA. The coffee burista told me "oh, only a few more minutes, we make it fresh".... i just said "okkkk" thinking I already waited 15min, but okay I remain waiting. Another 10min goes by and a man comes up to me and says "umm ma'm, our chef still hasn't started on your order, do you still want your egg or a refund?" I'm livid at this point because the girl just said a few minutes. WHICH WAS A LIE. I answered him saying I want a refund.
