This location was ready to find from Google maps. The parking lot was large and very well set up for getting from your vehicle to the front door. Once inside, there were several benches to sit on, in case you had to wait for your table. I went on to make an order to go because we were staying in town with a dog, who we couldn't leave behind in either the motel or the vehicle. Because of this, I can't speak about the service if I was dining in but everyone who walked by had smiles on their faces and engaged with you, very positively and with lots of eye contact and smiles. The food was delicious, large portions and so authentically "Mexican". I will eat here again!
Also, the inside, from what I could see from the register, looked clean and inviting for visiting and eating. While I waited, a group of 8 came in to be seated and then a group of 18!! Both were seated immediately. I heard that the group of 18 called before they showed up so they were planned on. So this must be THE place when you have a gathering.
I took the photos below to show my husband who was waiting in the car, how festive it was inside. Although the 4th of July was over, it was still the...
Read moreGaribaldi's is a great. Clearly, as evidenced by the packed house we experienced. Granted it was a weekend night, and the weekend before Valentine's day. That aside I had heard it's a great place to eat, and it is.
There were 3 groups waiting to be seated when we arrived. It's a bit cramped at the entrance so the wait was a bit uncomfortable, but it took only 5 minutes to get a table. All in all, it wasn't bad.
Service was wonderful. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu when we had questions. Our beverages never ran dry, and the chips, beans, and salsa were always full.
I am not a big fan of Tex-Mex, but there is something on the menu for everyone. I mean to say the menu is extensive. Maybe almost overwhelming. They could trim it a bit and still provide plenty of option.
I think we counted 7 birthday celebrations in the hour and a half that we were there. The service level didn't miss a beat, even consider the extra attention those tables received.
The food we well prepared, fresh, flavorful, and hot. The prices were very fair. As I mentioned previously, I'm not a big Tex-Mex fan, so I can't say much more than it was good. Well...
Read moreI've been told it's difficult to find authentic Mexican food, but this is supposedly much closer than others in the area. They're stood the test of time as well being here in the magic valley for over 25 years. Over multiple locations they're always consistent. I love the chips and beans and salsa while I'm waiting to decide what I want to eat. They offer combo meals as well as individual entrees. I've tried so much over the years I couldn't go in to detail with everything, but I've always been fond of their pollo Garibaldi's, and even the ground beef chimichangas, enchiladas and tostada. You can't really go wrong here. The only thing I could think of I would like to see is a better beer menu, but I can understand maybe their customer base isn't here for the beer. They do have a full bar so if you're looking for some tequila to go with your Chile Relleno they've got you covered. I've seen that place extremely busy and the staff works very hard to make sure the orders and correct and come out s swift as possible. All while being professional and friendly. Whether it's your first or 50th time I suspect you'll be satisfied...
