Place started out strong, but has steadily been getting worse. Tried to make a reservation for a 20+ party, they were rude over the phone, told us we had to be in here an hour before to hold the tables, since they can’t “take” reservations on Friday nights. Then when we arrive they let me know that for birthday dinners they have cut back to only a meal or appetizer, not the original meal, appetizer and desert. Then wouldn’t honor the meal, since we are celebrating my birthday on a Saturday, since we couldn’t celebrate it on Friday. Than proceeded to blame all of the “new” rules on the owner. Stating “their” hands are tied, and really wish “they” didn’t change from their old ways. Place has great food, but terrible customer service poisons the experience. Will be the last time here. Recommend traveling to Boise or Pocatello for a better experience. **Update** Manager got worse, informed us if we wouldn’t call to get our party there early, that she would start sitting people at our tables or we could leave and go somewhere else. BEWARE TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

YUM! By far the best restaurant experience we've had in Twin Falls. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, the chef was personable, kind, and talented, and we were treated with nothing but kindness from the moment we walked in. We went for my husband's birthday and their birthday deal is beyond gracious. We ordered egg roles (amazing), the miso soup, lobster/filet/chicken for him and chicken/lobster for myself, and a drink for him. The filet and lobster was by far my favorite (the chicken was delicious too-but the lobster and filet stood out). I know many reviews mentioned it being pricey (most menu items were $18-$40 range per person for the teppanyaki dishes, around $12 average for sushi), but I wouldn't expect anything less for the experience, quality of food, and quantity of food we received. We ended up having enough left overs for three-four more meals. We will be back for our next date night and every birthday going forward! If you're looking for a great experience and great food, I recommend giving it a try.

This place is great! We went there for my birthday. It was pretty packed, so there was about a 5 to 10 min wait. The tables are for 8 to 10 people, and they cook the food right in front of you. The sushi is made in the kitchen while the teppanyaki is cooked in front of you. Our chef was awesome! Very nice and funny. The food was very good! He started with rice then noodles, vegetables, and then the meat. By the time the meat was finished, we were full! There are huge portions, so it's well worth the price. A great place for date night, a family event, or just because!

TL;DR - The Manager/Owner is awful, they don't honor their posted hours on the building, and they don't honor the signed receipt for your meal. Instead, they'll just charge you what they want after the fact and act like you're the problem.

Last month (July 2024), the wife and I went in an hour and fifteen minutes before close. We were told they were already closing for the night and we would not be sat. Annoying (the wife and I do love the place) but fine. If it's a slow night, I get it. We kept our dissatisfaction to ourselves and went somewhere else.

Last week, August 16th, we went in and ordered our normal meal - two steak teppenyaki dinners and a tempura combo. With tip, out the door, we spent about $83. When the charge hit our bank statement, they had charged us $130.

I just went in there and asked to speak to the manager. The manager asked me for the date and I said it hit our bank statement on the 19th. He asked me for the date we were in and I said it was either Thursday or Friday of last week. He said he wasn't willing to search across multiple days. I asked if he could search by the last 4 of my card and he said no. He said if I gave him my name and number then he'd call me back. I wrote it down and then he said he needed the amount we were charged and the last 4 digits of the card. I asked if he needed that to look it up, could he just look it up now. He said no, he didn't want to.

I kept my voice calm, I did not make a scene, and I explained the wife and I had been bringing our family here for years and love the spot. We want to come back here. All I'm asking is for him to refund the money back to me that they took unjustly. He said he would call me. I asked when I should expect a call and he shrugged, said he would "call me when he calls me", and then tried to take the note I had written down. I looked around the restaurant, saw they only had one table that had already been served and was finishing their meal, and stated that if he couldn't help me get this sorted now, when they weren't busy, then the wife and I would not be returning.

He said, "Good, don't come back."

I took my information and left. We will never be returning here.

Food, chefs, wait staff, all pretty good. I'm sorry I won't be able to interact with them. Terry and Rigo are the best chefs and I'm really bummed that I won't get them again.

The Manager/Owner is awful. Rude, dismissive, completely lacking in any form of urgency to take care of a long time customer after they were blatantly overcharged. We will not...

Amazing food, the guys that cook are awesome. First time we went was so fun. Second time was frustrating. Our server acted like everything bothered her. Clearly didn’t want to be there. It was our sons birthday so we were told his meal, drink and dessert were free. Near the end of our meal our other son became Very sick and ran to the bathroom. His stomach was wrenching and he vomited. He went out to the car while my husband cleaned it up. I payed the bill. When I got the receipt i realized they charged me for my sons “Free Birthday Dinner” plus a $28.00 tip that’s automatically added. Not to mentioned we gave the cook a tip of $20. When I asked the lady that rang us up about the “Free dinner” she said no one told her. So I figured she could just refund the card or cash since we used a debit. Nope. She said oh sorry. Nothing I can do. I was so shocked. I feel like there’s not enough communication at this restaurant. Or maybe just an off night. I’m not sure how she didn’t know it was his birthday. Every time our chef gave my son his food he yelled “happy Birthday” (He was so fun). I’m not sure if my son ate something bad or not but he’s so...

My family used to love coming here at least once a month, but the customer service has seriously started to lack when it used to be excellent. I came in the other night with my family (a group of 10) to celebrate a birthday which we had reserved ahead of time. Everything was fine up until we got the bill. My grandma questioned what they were charging us for, but they assured us that they had put everything in correctly. We left a pretty generous cash tip which we personally handed to the server, but she took it upon herself to charge the card for another tip which we had not approved. We had also tipped our chef quite well when he had finished cooking for us. My grandma took a second look later that night at the new receipt she received after paying, only to realize they charged us for items that we had not ordered and she was charged $60 for a tip. She called in the next day and was told that it wasn’t their fault and they weren’t going to do anything to make it right. My grandma was very upset as she felt seriously taken advantage of. We have been loyal customers since this place opened, but we won’t be...
