UPDATE: Thanks so much for your quick and sincere response, Edward! Because we loved the actual experience so much, and because of your genuine interest in customer satisfaction, I'm going to upgrade my review to 5! We will come again and try the same experience when my kids are back in town next. They're really excited to see the gold!
The experience we chose (Silver City Heist) was very well created and quite fun for me and my three children and nephew (ages 8, 10, 14, and 15). The story line was exciting and we were engaged throughout the entire 60 minutes!
On the downside, we'd never done an escape room before and were a little apprehensive. We took careful consideration as to when we booked our experience as we had a lot going on that day. We scheduled our time at 7:30pm on a Friday and made plans to go. We only had a short window of time Friday evening to do the experience as my sons were leaving town the next day.
Someone from the company called me a few hours prior letting me know that "there was a glitch" in their online booking system and the 7:30pm slot had already been reserved. 9pm was the only available time that day so we reluctantly accepted.
Being our first time experiencing an escape room, it took us awhile to figure things out and we ended up running out of time right at 10pm with only a few minutes remaining until we could have solved the room. We had heard that participants were often given a little more time to solve a room by most places, especially when young children were were participating. Instead, we were promptly escorted out of the building, very anti climatically, and without much communication. Seconds after we left the building, the lights went out and the door locked.
It was a very disappointing end to such a well thought experience, and only added insult to injury after having to accept a later appointment because of a mistake on the part of the company. Probably a 0 on a scale of 1 to 10 in Customer Service, and after paying $90 - more than twice the cost of a first-run movie ticket. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this one, but we're now hooked on...
Read moreThis was my husband's and my first time doing an escape room. I would give this five stars because the escape room itself was a lot of fun, but we had an interesting experience with the person working. When we arrived, we were greeted and when we asked how she was doing, she said "I don't want to be here" and just had a bit of a downer attitude. So that was not the greatest first impression of the place. She took us back to the escape room and got us all situated, and one of the people in our group asked about her giving us clues and she said, "I might, just depends on how much you piss me off." Another odd thing coming from someone who should be representing the fun of the experience.
I worked many years in the customer service industry so I get it's tough to be chipper all the time, and I don't expect others to be. I also understand people have bad days sometimes! But the comments and demeanor from the person working made enough of a negative impression that I thought it was worth mentioning.

Read moreThis review is only for the bank heist escape room. The room itself was average and has cool components. Was overall a small room, glad we only had 5 people can't imagine if we had more. Do not think people would have an enjoyable experience with 8 do not suggest having more people. As an escape room enthusiast I disagree with the concept that you can use the same prop in a room more than once. Having the one and done rule I think needs to be used and if not need to explained that beforehand. Our group was not directed by our game master (Ben) correctly with a clue to get the props we needed. Which led us to not to have all the correct props for us to move forward. We constantly were asking for a hint because we simply did not have all the right things and the game master moved us along without making sure we had the right components to move on. That as well as those props being used multiple times frustrated our group.
Would recommend for a fun night out I believe our group was mostly likely an outlier with these...
