I hate to tell you all this. Absolutely the most fun, friendly place on Tybee. Paxton and Mikey are great bartenders and make your visit enjoyable. Pizza is great and there is always a great drink special. Diamond in the rough, do not skip it.

Addendum to my previous review.....we returned again and visited Huc a Poos multiple times for either food or drinks or both. Our first visit on a Saturday night, the place was super busy but we were fortunate enough to find a table and some seated guests that allowed part of our party to sit with them until a larger table freed up. We ordered buckets of beers to keep Ann, our server from having to tend to us so much. We ordered pizza while seated at two different tables, then moved to a larger table for all of us. Service is fast, and food comes out rather quickly. The first table we were at filled up right after we left it, and was within three feet of the table we were all eventually seated at. Our food came out and they delivered all three pizzas to the table across from us. We attempted to tell the kitchen staff that those were our pizzas, but they refused to listen and the peple sitting at the table just took them even though they were not what they ordered. Ann our server came back to check on us and looked confused knowing it had been some time since our food was ordered and no pies on our table. She had our food made again without issue. We did not raise a fuss, because we understand that the people who work here are all great folks and work hard. It is our favorite place on the island and respect=respect. We sat and drank and ate and had a great evening regardless of the rude people who just took our order. I cannot say enough nice things about Ann, Steph, Paxton and Mikey that make each visit fun. If you go to Tybee and you do not end every night at Huc a Poos then shame on you!

Pictures are of the Omnivore, The Bananna, and we also had a pepperoni/sausage. White tea shots...

I found this place from browsing TikTok and they raved about their $5 pizza although when I arrived it looked more like a slice was $7 but definitely an interesting dive bar. The area, Tybee Oaks is a fun little roundabout of shops, games, and this unique bar. It was packed when we went and the inside of the bar was so dark we decided to sit outside at the bar. The bartender was ok as far as his friendliness but he was patient with us putting in our orders which I appreciated. We met some really nice people around the bar though that chatted with us which enhanced my friend and I's experience.

We both ended up ordering a whole pizza pie each and boy when I tell you if you want pizza for a week then this will do it for you. It's a very nice size for a flat rate of $20 which is great that they don't charge you per topping so feel free to load it up if you wish.

Although if you're mildly hungry you can just order a 'big slice' for $8 and it's pretty much 2 slices of pizza. The pizza itself is very cheesy and rich. The crust is thin which I like as well. Now I may be wrong but it did look like there were some burnt pieces of hair on my pizza but I didn't want to make a fuss. Not sure if the cook back there has a beard or sprinkled some of his own hair in there but I'm pretty sure I recognize burnt hair when I see it. I tried picking it off and not thinking too hard about it.

The biggest issue I was having was with the gnats. It would have been nice if they had the tiki torches going or citronella candles around the bar and at each table to ward them off. I saw one hightop table that had one burning and was tempted to ask for theirs if they weren't bothered by the gnats.

Other than that. It was a cool experience I can add to my Tybee...

The restaurant is a local Small business. There is plenty of parking but only 1 handicap parking space. The atmosphere is like an upscale biker bar with classic rock music. Album covers from the great bands of the time are used to decorate the ceiling. You can sit inside at tables or the bar. The outside seating is tables with table umbrellas. When the sun is being a pain, there is a canopy over the seating area to keep you cool. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The servers are fun, friendly and outgoing. Plenty of laughs every time we visit. Katelyn, our server, took our drink orders quickly. She is fantastic as always. We had 7 people at our table and she kept up with our drink refills and other requests. I chose the house salad and added gyros. The gyros salad doesn't have as many extra vegetables. The salad was large, crisp, and fresh. The Greek dressing makes the salad very tasty. The gyros are always juicy and tender. Our other order was a build your own pizza. All of their pizzas are family size. We had 5 different meats with just about all the veggies they have on the menu. There are so many toppings they fall off the pizza. The thin crust is a little soft and limp. The flavor and variety of toppings make up for the crust. The best part of the meal is you order the pizza and all the toppings you want come with the order. The idea is to socialize with friends or anyone else that's there. Our visits are always a great time. Just the place to unwind and forget...

First time visiting tybee and was super excited to check this place out during our stay this past 4th of July weekend. However, the service alone ruined our otherwise decent experience. We were being served at the bar by a tall blondeish girl Rachel, who was not only rude but reeked of alcohol! Slurred enough of her words to appear intoxicated as well, but that's a management issue if they allow their employees to freely partake in drinking while working. I digress, ordered a simple a slice cheese pizza with a coke, and two slices with meat and extra toppings for my husband and I to share with 2 bottled beers. My child received a sweet tea instead of a coke. Food came out extremely late and cold which isn't surprising due to this waitress clearly being on her phone on multiple occasions. Felt almost deliberate after a while since we had to catch her attention just to remind her again to have the tea switched out for the coke as originally ordered by my son. Overall disappointing experience. Atmosphere was lovely overall just wish we had better service.
