Our first night on Tybee Island was May 15, 2023 and our waitress was Ashland. I hope I have her name right. She was SUPER and took care of us so wonderfully. We tipped her accordingly. 🥂Unfortunately, she was not working the next couple of nights. I am vegan and their vegan lions mane crab cakes were so good. The mojitios were the best ‼️ We sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed our first night on the island. 11/10 However, when we back on Wednesday night it was a different experience. We were seated outside at table with gnats swarming in the center of the table. Apparently, something twas not wiped off the table from the previous guests. I asked to be move inside and we were accommodated. I went to the bar to get another delicious mojitio and was not received very well by the female bartender. I asked for 2 drinks and she said Oh your server will get those for you. I asked her if she could please make me a mojitio, again. She did make my drink and told me my server would bring it to my table. Again, I asked if she would please give me the drink ‼️ I laid my money on the bar to pay for the drinks and she would not take my money. She literally refused to let me pay for the drinks. I have never experienced this type of behavior from a bartender before. We did have a young man as our server inside and he was great. The food was good but that experience at the bar with the female bartender really ruined our second experience. I would recommend Sea Wolf and Ashland 11/10 but beware of the female bartender inside as she is not a...
Read moreI almost feel silly writing something like, “I think this is the best hotdog I’ve ever had in my life,” but I think this is the best hotdog I’ve ever had in my life. My daughter and I, we went classic. Simple beef weenie, thick and juicy, ketchup and mustard. My son, I dunno: his was more out there; chorizo and stuff, and he really liked it. Smashed fingerlings. Oh, and the guac. Get the guacamole. It’s the best guacamole.
If I sound like I was paid for this—I wasn’t. They sell hotdogs…on awesome buns you just have to experience. Solid cocktails, too. Drink some booze and eat some weenies. You won’t be sad about it.
My daughter: I have not enjoyed many hotdogs but when I tasted the deliciousness of the hotdogs I was in love. They had awesome service and the food was the best, I would definitely recommend when you come to Savannah. They also had the most best guacamole ever made and I would love to go again later. All in all it’s an amazing restaurant and I would recommend going there. 😁
Oh, the four for atmosphere was because it was really hot in there, and if I’m being honest I feel a bit bad about it because it was all really good, but I was sweating. And I’ll say it: I sweat more than a lot of people. It’s What I’m good at. These folks are good at weenies, though, and...
Read moreIf you’re trying to be COVID safe, this is not the place for you. We came to get togo and was told to go inside to the bar to order. The bar was packed with patrons with no social distancing inside a 500sq ft shack. Even the tables outside were super close to each other. The bar tender kept pulling off his mask while one of the servers plowed into me without a mask and was serving patrons without this mask the whole time we were waiting on our food. People even left the bar while we were waiting and there was no sanitizing of the space before the next group of people sat down. They attempted to give our to go order to two different parties before we had to be like “That’s ours” where they replated it after being around unmasked parties. Once we got home we realized our full order wasn’t not there. When we went back to try and correct it, the man, who I assume was the manager, came over to me and stood less than eight inches from my face. I was up against a wall, and as a woman I felt very much like I was being intimidated to just leave - and in the middle of a pandemic, I would love if people would stop getting in my personal space. The only reason it’s two stars is bc the food was halfway decent. Oh, and don’t bother calling the phone number - it’s...
