We were visiting Tybee Island for the day for a bachelorette trip to Savannah. We ubered to the island and our bikes were waiting for us at the lighthouse. It was an incredible experience from the moment I made the reservation (online then called to confirm and ask questions)to dropping off the bikes. We even had the opportunity to meet the owners when they picked up the bikes at the end of the day and got to tell them how easy and enjoyable our beach day was because of the bikes. We were able to see the whole island, get around easily and safely, and be on our own island time.
I would suggest if you’re short, 5’4” and under, get the 24’ bike because I struggled in the beginning with the 26’ bike and it took some time to get used to it even on the lowest seat setting. The bike lock and helmets were super helpful and I definitely recommend using them as they’re part of the rental. Overall, an amazing and seamless experience,...
Read moreWonderful, wonderful people!!! I called about renting bikes for my girlfriend’s birthday trip and the woman that I spoke with was so sweet and helpful. Then when I called back to request the prettiest ones I was even more impressed! They actually came through! 😍 And THEN when I asked for an extra hour on pickup day so we could squeeze in one more hour (wow I sound really high maintenance 🙃) they came through for me again. My girlfriends and I had the best time and a lot of it had to do with Tybee Island Bike Rentals being so amazing and personable. 5 Stars! Highly recommend! Thank you guys again for helping to make my friend’s birthday even more special. You’ll be hearing from me again next year (sorry in...
Read moreWe rented 2 bikes for the day. They were delivered as promised 8 am the next day at our rental house. The bikes were in excellent condition with easy seat adjustment. A small oversight, no helmets delivered was quickly corrected with one call. Tybee is great for riding bikes and has a bike designated street that was safe and had a number of interesting houses on the route. We choose not to ride on the beach; however, at low tide, the beach is wide and flat, perfect for riding. The Co is owned by a local couple which, is the type of business I always try to support. My next Tybee visit will include a longer...
