Papacita's of Tyler — Restaurant in Tyler

The food was great and so was our sweet server Candace. What was awful was when we walked in the door. I brought my mother in after picking her up from dialysis (she is in a wheelchair) and the Child they had greeting people totally looked passed us and asked the people behind us how many was in their party. Never looked our way, or even asked if we had been taken care of. An older lady comes up, totally ignored us also. I had to flag down a hispanic lady and let her know that we hadn't even been spoken to. Another lady, pops up and seated us and said she thought there were 3 people. I said, no, that we were here before the 3 people, but if she needed us to move we would. Now, I realize I looked rough, I had been working hard all day, sweating up a storm in this heat and I am sure I could have dressed better, but I was tired and just wanted my mom to have the meal she wanted. However, don't judge a book by it's cover. We frequent this restaurant very often and tip very well. Apparently there has been changes, perhaps a new family took over the restaurant. Anyway, I was so annoyed that I did not want to talk to any of the ladies running around attempting to run things. I have ran a restaurant and to me it was chaotic up front. I felt it was very rude to be ignored by 2 people and people behind us taken before us. There is more, but this is what made me the most aggravated. I have noticed this restaurant has a high turnover of waitstaff, why? I hope your servers are treated well because that helps bring people back. Seems like everytime we get a server we really like, they are gone by the time we come back. I hope this place irons...

Nice servers but the management hired and fired based off looks 👌 not that I was a mess or anything but don't have a tattoo it will apparently affect your performance 🤔 my opinion as long as my food was brought to me and the servers are nice idc what tattoos they have sad that this place is that far behind the times miss out on good employee over some art work....since I have no way to reply other then personal email I'll edit this... no the way it was handled wasn't in the way of a solution and I'm sorry but sitting there for more then 30 mins filling out paperwork should have been told before then or idk the other 15 mins I was starting to train threw out the restaurant which by the way ur other employees are very nice and mam all the blame was shifted to you from the Manger there and threw text messages I received as well I don't have pericings and I don't even wear make up I have flowers and stars as tattoos 😉 I am a very hard worker that had her time gas and energy wasted... so u can spin it as sweet as you would like but yes mam I was just let go based of my looks because based off my performance and resume your management tried to get me to work there for almost a week so maybe you should really sit back and think man does someone having. Tattoos that big of a problem god forbid u need medical attention and they have a tattoo would you require someone who doesn't to assist you??? I could understand if I had gang tattoos vulgar tattoos heck even face tattoos but in 15 years of restaurant work I have never ever been treated the way I was this morning being relieved of work...

Food was incredible! This was our second visit and it went from. O.K. to very bad very fast. We were seated in the bar area. Our waitress was tending the bar and a few other tables. We placed our order and 45 minutes went by before we received our food. She was busy with the bar. We get our meal as a group decides to seat themselves at the bar and the manager offers to move them. Our waitress request they stay so it will be easier on her to serve them. And get more tips in my opinion. One individual is already sloshed and is hanging all over the man that is sitting with her. She loudly announces that she has not bathed in 4 days and just returned from getting a bleaching and her multiple injections!! After seeking a manger I spoke with a co-owner. Very polite woman that did indeed move the crew and took 12percent off our order and said we are a Christian based family resteraunt. As much as I appreciate the free meal that gave us I truly wish the situation had been handled different. This person should have been asked to leave. The manager and co owner came and spoke with my wife and I and did Apologize multiple times and said that we hope you return. I do plan on returning but please look into these situations further. The waitress was in the wrong for requesting they stay as she had enough tablesto manage. The manager was in the wrong for allowing them to sit there when they were asked to wait. They invited themselves to the bar. The co owner and manager Should have immediately discussed this and...
