Wendy's — Restaurant in Tyler

On a positive note the staff was NOT rude in any way, just seemed like they were short handed and overwhelmed. I ordered a 10pc meal and after paying was asked to pull forward, due to another customer already parked in the foward spot I pulled in one of the parking spaces adjacent to the drive through line. Roughly 5-10 minutes go by and another car pulls up next to us (note that the previous car is still in the pull forward space), another 5 minutes go by and they both received their food before I decided to go inside. I wasn't in a hurry and figured there must be a ton of nugget orders. After standing in front of the counter amongst others who had been waiting several minutes for their order the manager walked past and I assume used the facilities returned and exhaustedly asked who's waiting on what meal. I then told her what was waiting on and she replied that they thought I just left (Not sure why anyone would pay for food they didn't receive and just leave) but they made a point to remake the meal. What really made this whole experience so disappointing was not only are the nuggest we've waited about 30 minutes for half the size of what they normally are but they didn't give the barbecue sauce that was requested when I order, then when I asked for the sauce the one that came to the register had the audacity to just hand me one 😑. This is usually my favorite Wendy's. For the most part I've always been given a five-star experience at least through the drive-thru and in the morning. On this occasion the staff seem to be disoriented didn't seem to work well together The cashier was not wearing a name tag and was very rude to the customer before me. She was not rude to me but she wasn't pleasant either. Well I was filling up my soda at the machine someone was banging on the door next to the drive-thru and the soda machine. I let that person in they did not say thank you they seemed they might be the manager but they were also not wearing a name badge. If this was my first visit here it would probably be my last, it seems the folks who are working today which is November 26th at 1:30 do not wish to work here or they're having a very bad day. I hope it gets better because this is usually one of my favorite places to go and by far the fastest drive-thru in town. I didn't give the food a five-star mainly because the experience made me lose my appetite but the food is...

Alright I've been eating at this location since my childhood years and never have I encountered a problem until recent. I work downtown, live downtown and have for years called in my order and been allowed to pick it up thru the drive thru on my bike. Now I get hung up on for even asking to place an order for pickup k up then no answer when I call I back. I'm sure that I had been given the privilege of doing this as a professional courtesy, working late... We get it... Oh you don't drive ... Thats ok just call is when you start this way... Well to the night manager, I wish I could remember your name , for all the years you were sweet enough to accommodate my unxonventiinal late night eating self I thank you from the bottom of my currently broken heart .
