Turkish Couple — Restaurant in Tysons

We tried this Turkish food truck a couple of nights ago around 9 pm, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We spent about $50 for one meal and two sandwiches, but none of the food was enjoyable.

The kofta had an unpleasant smell, the rice was mushy and overcooked, and the fries tasted stale, almost as if they had been sitting for a long time. The sandwiches were no better—we couldn’t finish them and had to throw everything away. In the end, we left hungry and had to grab food elsewhere.

For the price, the quality was extremely poor, and I would not recommend this place.

----‐-------- Thank you for your reply. To clarify, this was a takeout order around 9 pm. By the time we got home to Maryland and realized the food was not edible, it was already close to 10 pm, so returning was not an option.

What surprised me in your response is that there was no apology or effort to make things right — only disbelief at our feedback. This was our first visit, and likely our last, and we had no reason to write anything other than our honest experience. Unfortunately, the food was inedible and had to be thrown away, which was extremely disappointing for the price paid.

We saw this turkish food truck on facebook and wanted to try. I did some research and it says turkish tantuni very flavorful and we checked the portions it was ok as well.

So we tried Yogurt tantuni and tantuni durum.

I dont like to give a bad review for a new business but food didnt match my expectations, portions were small (especially tantuni durum), food wasnt cold but wasnt hot either and unfortunately it was a little overpriced for what you get in return. After spending around $40 bucks we had to go to Blazin Hot Chicken to eat real delicacy food because we were still hungry. But it is good to experience new tastes so try at least ones.

Customer service was ok. They are a couple and I wish them the best. However I guess it was either they were tired or things wasnt going as they planned, they were a little dull.

My recommendation for the owners would be find a way to serve food hot and be very generous with food. People will feel it, trust me…

Their portions are absolutely joke!! And unfortunately not worth it. We ordered cig kofte balls and sushi roll. Paid like $27 Inside of the roll i can say there was almost no ingredients and lavash bread couldn’t even stick together. And that rolls they were absolutely dried out also so so small like made by kid ! Nothing was like the photos! I tried out this dish multiple places including Istanbul prices were so high but taste and quantity not worthy. they are not even fine dining restaurant just a food truck! Regular restaurant selling a portion of it for $6-$8 I recommend honesty and good moral for work! Please don’t be like Turks in Turkey we are not...
