There are quite a few pho restaurants around, but my go to is Pho Hai Duong in Tysons hands down! I have found that a few of the other pho restaurants I used to frequent have had a decline in quality over the years, but Pho Hai Duong has stayed consistently exceptional.
My usual is either a small or large #5, the Tai Gau. It has eye round steak and fatty brisket. Pho is served with onions and cilantros in the broth and accompanied with a plate of bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime, and jalapenos. I also like to order the #26, Goi Chon or summer rolls. The rolls are wrapped with shrimp, lettuce, and rice vermicelli, and served with peanut sauce.
Pho is pho-nomenal (love me a food pun). The broth is rich, there's plenty of meat and onions and cilantro, and they don't skimp on Thai basil, limes, or bean sprouts. The summer rolls are very good, and I haven't found another pho place that either serves good summer rolls or summer rolls at all.
Additionally, service is friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Everyone is affable and helpful, and I never feel rushed...
Read morePho Hai Duong in Vienna is a fantastic spot for pho and Vietnamese comfort food. Their pho broth is rich and flavorful, and the Pho with Everything includes a great variety of meats, including meatballs, which adds to the heartiness of the dish. We always order their summer rolls—they’re fresh, packed with shrimp, vermicelli, and herbs, and served with a delicious peanut dipping sauce. My husband loves their quail, which is well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside.
The restaurant has a cozy and casual atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. The service is friendly and efficient, making sure orders come out quickly and hot. They also do great takeout, with well-packaged portions that stay fresh. Parking can be a little tight in the front, but there’s additional parking in the back, making it much easier to stop by even during peak hours.
Whether dining in or taking out, Pho Hai Duong is a solid go-to spot for quality pho and...
Read moreAfter working in Vietnam for some time, got so tired of pho. But after a couple years of abstinence, started to enjoy pho again at Pho Hai Duong’s shop in Annandale.
So I was happy when they opened up another location in Vienna a few minutes from our home. We don’t get to eat out as much so we order to go more often. But the owner is a really nice guy that runs both locations, so I hope you can meet him if you ever go.
Pho, Bahn Xeo, Bun Bo Hue and Summer Rolls. Their Pork Chop on rice, Rice Vermicelli and Clay Pot dishes are also so good.
A lot of authentic Vietnamese variety here. Love it. And so glad Danny started managing this location since early last year. Can really tell the difference in the whole operation of the place, from the food and to the service.
And I prefer Pho in the States more...
