After several negative experiences at the store, both regarding product quality and the behavior of one of your staff members, I feel compelled to share this review. I've had recurring issues with their sandwiches. On one occasion, I bought a sandwich that tasted off. Upon inspecting it, I found the cheese was wet and slimy. When I brought it back, the employee insisted it was just due to the tomato and lettuce. That didn’t make sense—especially since the sogginess was at the bottom, where there was no contact with either. Thankfully, the owner was present and handled the situation promptly and professionally. On a different visit, I purchased a pack of sandwiches where the top halves were normal-sized, but the bottom halves were noticeably smaller. That kind of inconsistency in portion size is both misleading and unfair. Selling products with visible quality and sizing issues is disappointing and feels deceptive, as a price in the sign but different in the packing. Beyond the product concerns, I’ve also encountered repeated rudeness and unprofessional behavior from one of your employees. She often appears angry and speaks to customers with an unfriendly tone. Most concerning, today she told me to “speak Spanish.” I was born in this country, and while I’ve learned some Spanish in school, it’s completely inappropriate for a store employee to say something like that. Her comment came across as discriminatory and frankly, racist. Additionally, I’ve noticed that some items which legally should not be taxable are still being taxed at your store. This raises serious concerns about improper charges and store practices. I’m sharing this feedback because customers deserve respectful service and food that meets basic standards of quality and fairness. I truly hope you take this seriously and make the necessary corrections. I would not like to contact the town/county health department and tax authorities. Judging by other recent reviews, I know I’m not the only one who has experienced these issues—especially regarding this particular employee and the...
Read moreIt was a beautiful place & a busy one too. Yet, the women behind the counter work so hard & so fast, I didn't even wait. Me & my better half, sat at a clean table, looking at the most amazing desserts, cookies, cakes, tarts, traditional treats & not so traditional treats for a Latin bakery! I think I actually had the very best Cannoli there I have ever had & I lived in very Italian areas of NYC so I know my cannoli's lol! There's also some food as opposed to sweets, which looked amazing but I didn't have any but only because we had just come from eating dinner. I just happened to see a few custom cakes being made & they looked incredible. Did I mention their coffee was yummy too? I saw a few girls seated near us with their laptops so basically, everything you want is right there at Las Chicas Bakery & I'm going back & if you don't your crazy & if you do, YOU'LL NEVER REGRET IT. Kudos to the counter staff, the bakers & whomever keeps this busy, not so little place so clean...
Read moreDon’t come here if you want your cake to be ready on pickup time and the way you ordered it. Paid in full at the time I placed my cake order, picked up my cake on the day requested, well past the time of pickup, and my cake wasn’t ready. The description of my cake was in the receipt and wasn’t even followed, and I had spent an extra $27 for add-ons onto the cake. Not to mention, I ended up having to place my cake order in-person because of the poor response time from the email they recommend to communicate through for cake orders. Besides the poor service, the cake I ordered was supposed to be tres leches, as it was recommended to me by a friend. And maybe it was, although I’m not sure, because the disappointment in the overall service overpowered whatever I had left in me to enjoy the cake. That should say enough about this “tres leches”...
