The worst place to get a doctor's prescription, in October 16 I went to get a doctorâs prescription which was a antibiotic cream, and cough syrup called âmucinexâ. The women who attended me told me that the cough syrup doesnât cover my health insurance and I didnât have a problem with that. I waited around 30 minutes for them to give me the medicines. When I got home I realized that they did not give me the directions of the cough syrup, I did not know how many mL and how often I needed to give my son the cough syrup. The next day I called them in order for them to help me. The same women from yesterday answered the phone and she also told me she remembered me. I asked for help for the cough syrup procedure. And she told me to look it by myself and she also said that perhaps it is in the label that always comes in the syrup. And she knows that normally you donât drink these cough syrups for more than 5 days. I told her that if she can please tell me the procedure that the DOCTOR*directly wrote, not the ones that come in the label. Because I kind of remember that the doctor gave me how many mL and how often my son needs to drink it, but I wasnât sure. At the end to women got angry because she wanted me to look for it in the label. At last she said that I need to give my son 5 mL 3 times a day. I was astonished hearing that because my son is 17 years old. I had to go to the Doctor office again!!!! to ask for the directions of the syrup. And O SURPRISE!!!! It was not 5mL 3 times a day, it was 20mL every four hours!!!!. Very disappointed of the attention in...
Read moreI have to admit I have never seen such an unprofessional staff working in this pharmacy located at 4700 Bergenline Ave, Union City, NJ 07087. My motherâs doctor submitted a prescription to this pharmacy for my mother who has cancer. The doctor left multiple messages in the answering machine with the name of the prescription, etcâŚâŚ. Finally she got in touch with the pharmacy staff & the minute the staff heard the doctorâs voice, she told her to leave the information in the answering machine and hung up on her. The doctor left the information again & two days later when my 79 yrs old mother went to get the prescription she was told they didnât have anything. The staff present was completely rude, unprofessional & started laughing at one point speaking Spanish perhaps not knowing my mother could hear they were laughing at her. I read most of the reviews & Iâm surprised CVS higher management has not done anything to correct this issue when the negative reviews are overwhelming. I think writing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) will get the supervisor or immediate management in this store take action. FYI - we had to send the prescription to the CVS pharmacy on 5300 Bergenline Ave. Fortunately the staff there was more professional & sympathetic with the situation and my motherâs...
Read moreWell, I spent 2 days dealing with the pharmacy. First day, it was very helpful and I understood the runaround. Though i didnt like it. In the in the end, we had to go to a second cvs. For even my own insurance company called the pharmacist, which was a headache on its own. They put them on hold and let them wait forever. So it was pointless for me to tell the pharmacist to pick up since she rudely put her on hold. Its sad that all the pharmacist technicians get lump together. Cause its not their fault, the person with a white coat treats all others so rudely. Even the pharmacy technician noticed how rudely the pharmacist was on the phone. And the way she treats patients. The pharmacist in chafge did not ever pick up the phone to talk to my insurance representative again... not only did I have to be physically at the store to let the pharmacist know to pick the phone. In the end, I had to put my insurance provider via speaker phone to change the medication. From instead of taking one 100 units, all cvs had to do was ring up two 50 units.... The fact that this location has parking is the only saving grace. I would go to any other cvs and have been treated with respect, expediency, and care. Unlike...
