Thai BBQ Restaurant Inc — Restaurant in Union City

Rudest waiter ever! Went in with my husband and few days ago. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. The waiter dropped it off, but we were busy tending to our 3 small children. When my husband and I tried some, we saw it was nothing but batter, no squid whatsoever. When we told the waiter that we'd like to send it back he told us we weren't able to as it had been too long and we should've told him earlier, even though we barely ate any. My husband explained that we were tending to our screaming children (so the rest of the patrons wouldn't be disturbed), he still refused. At that point, we requested to speak to a manager, and the manager said the same thing, even though any other restaurant, would take the dish back, and take it off your check, but I guess they're too good for that! At that point the waiter got very weird. He started telling us that he has seen us before because he recognized our children, and we've caused problems before (then why would you even serve us in the first place). We've never even been there. We're from San Diego, and we were on vacation. The waiter also muttered something under his breath about my husband being white. So, since he couldn't tell it directly to husband's face, I'm going to assume he's racist against white people, or he's mad that an Asian woman (me) isn't married to their own kind. We were very regular pickup customers of Thai BBQ before today. It’s our anniversary so we thought of celebrating our special day with some dining in. Little did we know that our night is about to become very very stressful. We have a toddler who sees sugar packets and starts opening and eating them. My 2 year old does that at all restaurants and we have always cleaned after ourselves before leaving. This server comes and starts shouting at us saying do not waste the sugar, it’s for use with coffee only. No clue why it was kept in our table when we had not even ordered coffee!! He had not even taken our order and the restaurant was literally empty with just a few ppl for pickup. We decided to leave without ordering due to his rudeness and he was like- “yes, please leave!” My husband went to the counter to give him money for the 4 sugar packets we had used and he started shouting at us again- “never come back again”! Never ever have we ever had someone behave this ways with us, specially with a hungry baby. Please please please don’t ever go there if you have diabetes or have low sugar, this guy will ask you to leave for eating his sugar packets. Never ever take your kid to this place. We tried to give this place a second opportunity to make up for the terrible experience we had with this woman who works there. However, we got the same woman this evening and her poor attitude, service, and poor hospitality forced a family of 5 to leave the restaurant. We walked in, 2 tables were there with no food, waited 5 minutes because nobody had acknowledged us, I approached her to see if we can sit in one of the tables since we had elderly people with us and her response was very rude, unprofessional, and told me to go back to the entrance without even a friendly greeting. Finally sat us down, 10 minutes goes by, sits 3 other people, brings us water, and we were already ready to order. Ignores us and went to the table that arrived after us, took their order, waited about 5 minutes and all of us were stunned that she wasnt really doing anything to justify not serving her 4 tables. Everyone was talking about her poor service so we got up and left. We went to their competitors across the way and service and food was amazing!
