Don't bring next-day packages here. I had an eBay customer pay for next-day air. Everything was ready to and perfectly packed; I've been doing this on eBay and in my own business for decades. I brought the package to this location and after waiting in line a bit, dropped it off at 10:55 am. This was on December 7, so it was decently busy, no worries. I figured everything was fine. It was not. The next day, I checked to see if the package had been delivered. Nope. In fact, the next UPS scan after my drop-off was at 10:30 that night in Hayward, well past any outgoing service for the day. Next-day turned into 2-day. What followed was a long series of run-around from UPS to this day. They won't refund anything because "the package was delivered". They don't care how long it took, even when I paid over $80 for a specific service that they simply did not do. I ended up having to refund my customer the difference between next-day and 2-day, $43. So ultimately, trusting this location for next-day cost me $43 and I have zero recourse except sharing my experience here. Don't make the same mistake. Now I'm saddened to see that this location changed hands on December 1, and I'm wondering if this is the result. They've usually been very nice and competent in the past. I hope they can turn this around.
Edit after 'owner' replied: It wasn't an inconvenience. It was money. You cost me money. The package didn't leave your location until 10:30 at night. That was the problem. I watched the clerk put that particular box on a special pile in the backroom, where it was apparently forgotten, as my other Ground package went out that day with no issues. Once the package did get to UPS a day late, it actually was delivered the next day, making your guarantee assertion irrelevant.
You have a funny little collection of excuses you are dropping on all of these low-star reviews. Maybe you think you're going to school customers into toeing the line? That's not really the best attitude...
Read moreMy story began with a simple shipping job. It's somewhat an important item because losing it could probably mean to lose an important client as well. So, to make sure it doesn't get left by the doorstep, I throw in a little bit more $$$ and made this shipment "signed upon delivery". But yep, can't avoid bad thing when it is meant to happen, the package was lost.
Can't find the exact word to describe how I felt at the time, but for sure there was a lot of pressure, some anger and mostly frustration.
I decided to personally visit the UPS store where the package was dropped off because I did not want to handle this in a conversation through phone. A lady staff greeted me, learned the situation I was put in and then quickly filed a claim on my behalf to start an investigation on this missing package in the hope of recovering it.
A few days later, there was still no news from the UPS store. When all my co-workers as well as myself had given up hope, BANG! suddenly a new update appeared after I refreshed the package tracking webpage. The package has been reacquired and put to shipping! And just within an hour after I saw the new package tracking status, got a message from my co-worker who's also the recipient saying that he just received the item I shipped out!
I guess in this scenario, no news mean good news. The UPS investigation team probably will only make contact when the item is confirmed not recoverable - or lost.
But thankfully my story had a happy ending. I am truly grateful for the helps I received. The lady who assisted me was very knowledgeable as well as very caring of my dire situation. She also refunded me the entire cost ( around $100 ) of this shipping order. Even though in the end the package was reacquired and delivered, but she said I was still entitled a full refund because the delivery took too many days where my order was a 1 day shipping. ( So yeah, I shipped this item for free~ THANKS...
Read moreI had a very poor experience at this location when I went in for Live Scan services. I was made to wait in the back while others who arrived after me were attended to first. After waiting for around 25 minutes, an employee started processing my forms but appeared unsure of what she was doing, which concerned me. When a system issue arose, I realized it would take even longer to process my forms. I had another appointment, so I politely asked if I could return at a later time. The manager rudely interjected, "We need to make a phone call to make sure your information is correct; you need to wait." When I repeated my request, she rolled her eyes and said, "We already entered your information." I explained that I had already been waiting for 30 minutes and needed to leave. She defensively replied, "Thatâs not anybody's fault." I clarified that I was not blaming anyone but had not anticipated it taking this long and had somewhere else to be.
This was not my first negative experience at this location. I have been here two other times in the past year for Live Scan services. On one occasion, they failed to process my form correctly, resulting in it not appearing with the CTC. When I called UPS 10 days later to check on the status, they said they would look into it and call me back, but I never received any notification or even a generic apology.
I had previously recommended this location to friends and co-workers for Live Scan and other services. However, after this latest experience, I will not return and will not recommend this place to anyone. The manager is very...
