I go here once a week and do a call in order so they know ahead of time. But this time i called about 5 times and it rung all the way to there voicemail. Then I called the sixth time and all of a sudden it doesn’t ring and says user busy? So I called back again and again and again same thing? Like they took there phone off the hook? So I had to go in myself to see if they were busy at all maybe that was why? Nope! Only 1 car there and I walk in and the lady wasn’t even on the phone!! She asked if I had a call in and I said I would if you didn’t take your phone off the hook. But they went on about how they were so busy and they been on the phone for a long time. Tho I called multiple multiple times and it rung multiple times but all of a sudden it stopped and says user busy as if I didn’t call back to back how did someone else get there call before me? This place is very bad customer service. Will not go back.

Note: this was at 6:30...

Shockingly TERRIBLE customer service. They made me walk from my hotel (in 98+ degree heat), in order to, get my correct order. My semi was in shop here, so I had no vehicle, ordered thru Doordash. Wrote specific instructions for no veg, & man at restaurant said, "I didn't think you meant you wanted all the vegetables left out". -!? He said he would remake it correctly in 5 minutes, but, by the time I got there, of course it was cold. I told him I wanted a refund, because, they made the mistake AND, I had to walk there, in the horrid heat. He would not refund me the full price, but, he gave me like $2.25, the cost of the Doordash. Not very fair. Sad encounter, do not reccomend, based on my experience. Fried rice premade & not good. **I'm hoping after reading mostly positive reviews, that this was just a unique experience & maybe they are okay after all? I'll never know, because, I will...

Really delicious food but the service was not my favorite. We arrived at 9:15 PM and they were closing at 10 PM. I try to be nice and accommodate closing hours, so I didn't think 45 minutes was too late for good service.

The server set down the menus and then came back two minutes later asking us to place our order because they were closing soon. I was really surprised we were being rushed like that. But we ordered. 4 more smaller groups came in while we were there and the server was rushing each of the other customers too. We were gone by 9:40ish. And they were practically done closing their sushi bar and half the restaurant. It was a weird situation, but I suppose they were in a hurry that night.

Regardless of that, kind of cramped and small. We were at a tiny two person table cramped...

We have been fairly regular customers over the past 13 years, and tonight I was so excited to order and pick up chicken teriyaki bowls for dinner. When I got home and opened the boxes we ordered, I was appalled at the tiny portions included afternoon $12.95 for the chicken teriyaki, two small scoops of rice and less than a chicken breast worth of chicken. No extra sauce whatsoever, the chicken was didn’t even have extra sauce on it so that you could mix the rice with the meat. Absolutely disappointing. I know that inflation has made things difficult but this was ridiculous. Will not be going back, I would rather have paid a couple dollars more for a reasonable amount of food to feed my family.

Usually get the short ribs combo but this is the most disappointing from this restaurant. It seems that this place continues to decline and I would rather eat at the other New York Teriyaki places in town. Short beef ribs served, they had basically fatty pieces that were hidden on the bottom. In the past I’ve never had it served to me. Three pieces were mostly fat! The dressing on the salad was more watery than usual that it didn’t even really stick on the salad. After a long 12hr day at work, for how much I paid, I was hoping for a decent meal. I hope the next time I order it will be better. Otherwise I might have to resist from ordering here in the future.

At first I balked at the concept of a •”Teriyaki, sushi, and burger joint.” Then I balked at the pricing on the menu — $18 for a tempura spicy tuna roll? In inland Washington? No way. Imagine my surprise at the sheer size of the rolls, the freshness of the fish, and the expert composition. New York Teriyaki blew all my preconceptions out of the water of what’s possible on this side of the Cascades, with quality rivaling or even surpassing similarly-priced locations in the Seattle and Portland areas. I highly recommend anyone looking for a quality Japanese food experience in Yakima try this place — you won’t regret it.
