Oh where to begin! Absolutely disgusting food. All the meats were extremely low quality. They had a lot of options but it doesnāt matter when everything is low quality and terrible. The chicken was dry overcooked and gooey. There were hard pieces on many of the thing I got from sitting in the Chaffer for too long. The sushi was Luke warm room temperature. š¤ made me sick! The desserts were horrendous dry, and I donāt know what the hell was up with some sliced bananas with strawberry jam on top of them? š¤š¬ It looked like one of those horror recipes from the 1950s! My God, the assortment of jello cubes was crazy. I didnāt know People still ate that. Banana pudding, puff pastry with orange jam inside, baked very low effort. The desserts that were frozen, that I expected to be a little bit better were just totally dry and stale. The soups were all thicken with cornstarch, which made them feel cheap and no flavor at all. Worst clam chowder Iāve ever had in my life Campbellās clam chowder. The cheapest one you can buy is 10 times better than that it was awful. The only decent thing I ate were some sliced steamed potatoes that were soaked in butter garlic and herbs. if the best thing Iām eating at an Asian style buffet or garlic, herb potatoes with butter thereās a problem. Even the ice cream in the case freezer burn and tasted like refrigerator. The waiters also hover over you probably trying to discourage you from eating more. No problem there I did not want any more of that garbage. they were friendly enough, but I didnāt like being presented with a tablet at the end of service and select a tip when the waitress at the table. It puts pressure on you to tip when honestly I donāt feel like they deserve a tip because the food was disgusting , I had hope since this is a new place, but Iām always skeptical of buffets in general unless Iām in Las Vegas do not waste your money !cheapest of the cheap quality here, And I am a chef I could make much better food on the cheap. Sometimes you have to pick and choose, There were too many options, and I feel like having too many options they try to cut cost on everything with the lowest of the low quality. Terrible. Horrendous.I would rather have half the options and higher quality...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe first few times i went with my husband everything was great. The food gets as good as buffet food goes, but we kept coming back for the sushi. Last time i went, there were little to no sushi options ready, i couldn't even ask for one made to order as they refused to do so during lunch time. Our server hardly came around at all to clear plates or offer refill. It was only me and my husband. We were presented the check halfway into the meal, where i could finally ask for a refill and our server appeared confused. I could notice the server from the corner of my eye staring at us waiting for us to touch the check book. Me and my husband stood up for some icecream. Our server literally stops us at we stood up and asks "can i help you!", staring at us and then again at the untouched checkbook. We awkwardly say no. We couldn't even enjoy our icecream in peace as he kept coming around and peering the corner. As if we would walk out on the check. I went tonight again for dinner with 2 other friends. I had the unfortunate experience to have the same server. My friends all stood up to grab icecream (i stayed behind) and again i could see the server bug eyed me at the table, and began to follow them only untill he realized they were grabbing icecream. He seemed to have recognized us at the start of the service from eating there last time but contunually treated us as if we were going to walk out on the check. A buffet is a buffet, we are going to get up for more food as we please. Then he had the audacity to stare at you while swiping your card and pointed at the 3 tip options almost forcing you to tip him. The sushi options tonight were horrible and bland, i expected more for a dinner service. I cant keep coming back for awkward looks or service, not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOkay, letās be honest. This place wonāt make it. Prices are far to high for what they have. Drop it to under 20.00 per person for dinner and maybe people will come in. Food selection is bad. The only thing this place has going for it is the sushi rollers. Which is more of hey look at this. The sushi itās self was interesting. You get 2 pieces per plate. The sushi rolls and nigiri are definitely not made by a sushi chef. The covers they use for the sushi slide all over the place so be careful if you try to stack them. The food selection. Typical buffet stuff Lomein noodles. Steamed muscles, salt and pepper shrimp. Fried rice. Very sweet Asian pork ribs ( tasted like candy) among other things. The plates are tiny and anything fried will slide right off of them. They need to get better plates. The food waste thing throws people through the loop. But I kind of get it. Donāt let little kids go up and help themselves and you shouldnāt have a problem. If you have never tried something take one or two of the item. Itās honestly not that hard to not waste food. They do how ever need more people to speak English and Spanish that would be extremely helpful. Tables and chairs are okay. Kinda crammed together. This is supposedly owned by the same as Kyotoās hibachi grill. Which to be honest has the worst sushi in town. With all that being said Minado Buffet is 10 times better....
