Old Town Station Restaurant — Restaurant in Union Gap

My daughter and I went for lunch. We were seated, given waters and menus and were told someone would be with us shortly to get us drinks. Nobody came to our table. Meanwhile, other customers were walking in, being seated, having their drink orders taken, drinks brought to them AND having their orders taken. Still nobody came to our table. I finally had to ask who our server was and pointed out other patrons who came in after us were being waited on and receiving service while we weren't. I was told "let me go find out who your server is." Jose finally came to get our orders. We got our food fairly quickly and my soda after my food was already brought out. Jose did check on us, but seemed rushed to be done with us as he brought our tab to us in the middle of our meal. My daughter wanted dessert and we once again, had to ask for our server. The other young guy (tall white male, didn't get his name) who was bringing waters to the tables said he would go get Jose for us. There was plenty of staff up front, at least 6 young adults, talking and laughing very loudly. After being ignored and having to ask for a server more than once, we won't be back. There should be an older adult (manager) on shift and maybe the young staff would do their job instead of ignoring customers and being loud. We used the bathroom before leaving. The bathroom floor is filthy. Needs a professional deep cleaning for the black grout. I read thru the other Google reviews and another woman's post about the dirty bathroom was 100% spot on. I live in Maine and was recently visiting my mother. I stopped in for a late breakfast with her. It was off peak time with less than 20 ppl total seated. Things went smoothly thru ordering and getting food. Once we had food, the server was either too busy or needs basic customer service refresher. A large spill occured and we asked for towels from two diff servers, whom scurried off, not to return. I asked the porter for help finally getting towels. I cleaned up the entire mess and the water on floor with help from the porter. I was concerned for my elderly mother. No check was brought the entire time. Longer than we had taken to order and eat our entire meal, as well as self service spill response then boxing up leftovers, had elapsed. We then went to front register and wait again for one of the "disappear once served crew" to gladly take our money.

None of which you will ever get again.

I can say the place looked clean (except the filthy bathroom) and the staff friendly. The food was one star. We ordered sandwiches. They were mediocre and old-fashioned. I mean by that everything was greasy. Nothing "light" about this place. If you're watching what u eat, drive right on by. It appeared they hadn't updated their recipes for 20 or 30 years. Even my husband commented on that. Old recipes. I guess that is why there was so much grey hair seated around the dining room. Whoever mops the ladies is also mopping as they did back in the day. Those huge mops that use the same dirty water for way too much floor without getting clean water. They let the mop slop up the wall making the wall and grout filthy. That floor grout did not start black. Don't they realize that we ladies know how to clean? You need to update your mop and take a bit of time with the cleaning.
