From the decor before you even get inside, you can tell that this is an Asian restaurant. Upon entering, go directly to the cash register and wait for the cashier, whom you will pay BEFORE going to sit, and you will be given glasses and utensils.
Buyer beware, however, this is a buffet and the food is so Americanized that you can only recognize foods as being Chinese based on their appearance - not at all on their flavor. There are no menu items. The food isn't bad in the buffet - it's just not real Asian. The baked salmon is soaking in so much water that you'd better put the red sauce or something on it otherwise it's pretty bland.
Aside from the buffet, there is also Hibachi, which I didn't have space to try but it's such an easy thing to make that I doubt it is not good.
They also have sushi which, much to my surprise, was actually tasty even though the fake wasabi (almost all wasabi is fake because real wasabi's main component is expensive) didn't taste right - a bit unpleasant. I tried every type of sushi out there and they were all enjoyable even if there wasn't much in the way of seafood in them and no sashimi (raw seafood variants of sushi, I guess you could say).
If you want to enjoy the food, I recommend the Hibachi and sushi. If you're trying to fill up, the rest of the food, which includes several Western options and a wide selection of desserts, will slake your hunger. The beverages have...
Read moreI literally threw up. Read the ending. Paid $62 for 2 adults and 2 toddlers, there wasn’t much food out and even the rice was cold. I’ve been here several times before but this time I can say I would never go back. All the tables were sticky, at least the 4 tables we tried sitting at before picking the less sticky one. Me having to ask if they are going to make more of this or that isn’t ideal. It’s not like we showed up 30 minutes before they closed. The stuff I normally eat for instance chicken and broccoli, in the pan there was only maybe one portion in it and seemed like it sat there for a while. My wife wanted more crawfish so I asked if they are making more and the guy standing there on his phone looked up and said “no more”. I did ask the lady for rice since it was cold in the pan so she took my plate in the back to get me some from I’m assuming the rice cooker. That was the hottest item I received. After eating whatever they had that didn’t look like it sat out all day my stomach was turning. I literally walked out of there and felt nauseous. If you walk around the left side of the building looking at it from the road you’ll see where I threw up. I’ve never vomited immediately after leaving a restaurant my wife had to drive home. For the workers who don’t believe this look at the cameras. Paying this much for the little food they had out I wish I would have settled on...
Read moreSpent $40 there yesterday with my wife, one of the worst experiences of my life. I ordered a steak and shrimp hibachi from the hibachi grill that they have in the back which is included with the price of the buffet, thinking that it would be at least hot and fresh, the steak tasted like shoe leather, I haven’t had a steak this bad since I ate at waffle House. Plus, a lot of food looked like it had been sitting out for a while and was Luke warm, the only thing that actually tasted good was the sushi which I had about six pieces of, but it does not save this dumpster fire. Also, my wife complained about a weird smell, that made me and my wife’s stomach turn the moment we smelled it.The owner said that the sewage Backed up. We moved to a different table, but shortly after moving we left we were absolutely pissed and disgusted with this place and we will never be back. I wish we would’ve honestly made the drive out to Norwood and eaten at P.F. Chang’s I know it cost a little more, but I know it would’ve tasted a hell of...
