Terrible customer service. If I could rate zero stars I would. I placed an order by phone and was told it would be ready in 45 min. I arrived 10 min after the phone call so I decided to use the restroom and sit on the inside. The door of the restroom was locked and beside it was a sign that clearly read “Restroom is for customers only”. As I went to ask if the door was locked, some old man who didn’t acknowledge my existence said not a word and some “man” from the back came and said that it was locked while the older man said someone was in there (all of a sudden saw that I was there). Weird that they both said two separate things so I sat and waited. Another 3 min or so goes by and I go back up to the counter to ask the older man if he was sure someone was in there. Again, he never looked up even though I started to tap on the plexi glass to get his attention. The “man” from the back comes out and I asked him how does the older man know someone is in there, then the older man gets up and says sorry while trying to pass me the keys. The man from the back asked if I was buying anything and I told him that I had already told the old man I ordered over the phone. He then proceeds to tell me that the restroom is not “really” for customers so I told him the sign says so, and he says again it’s not really for customers. I called the restaurant before doing the review because I was do disappointed in my meal. I ordered the Curry chicken with rice and beans with an order or Roti. The entire base of the container was covered with rice and a little bit of curry chicken in the corner on top of the bed of rice and beans. There were hardly any meat and mostly bones. This was my first and last time eating in this establishment. The rice was so dry it choked me. There was about a tablespoon of cabbage in the other corner on top of the bed of rice and beans. My total was $18.50. And I’ve never been this disappointed in Caribbean food like this before. EVERYTHING WAS DRY. What little meat I managed to get from mostly bones was DRY, tablespoon of cabbage was DRY, rice and barely any beans…DRY. Most Roti have a bit of flavor but this Roti had grains of corn falling out of it, no flavor, and very DRY. I couldn’t eat this meal. When I called to tell them about my bad experience the female was nice and said that she wasn’t there and asked how far away I was from the store. I told her that I would not be coming back but I thought that the establishment should know how bad the meal was before I gave the review online. I would’ve gave it ZERO stars if I had the option. We have frequented this place whenever we crave some good Caribbean food! Their goat curry and roti is yumm!! If you like a take-out, then make sure you ask your roti to be packed separately else you would have a soggy mess (ignore if you like your roti doused in curry). Their portions are generous and always served with the fried plantains (yum!) and some vegetables (often cabbage). I must say that every component tastes different and great! If you decide to dine-in, the place isn't bad either! If you love the color green, then you will love this place! Get your curry and roti here, you won't regret it, unless flavorful and spicy food...
