I have visited UFC several times over the last 2 years. The owner and operator is consistently interested in serving fresh and delicious food. He makes the wraps, kababs, botis, rotis fresh after you order. He cooks using a tandoor. Many halal places have cooked the food hours before and keep it warm all day long â this changes the taste and texture. Freshly made is always much better. Make sure to order and dine in on site - thatâs when the food will be the best.
He provides good dine in service and makes menu recommendations. Last visit he gave us a taste of his chapli kabab gratis and we loved the taste! We ordered a dozen chapli kabab to take home for later. Last night we tried chicken tikka per his suggestion. We were happily surprised when he came to our table with a sizzling plate â the flavor, aroma, and experience was memorable. My suggestion is to get the Pakola soda â cream soda with mint imported from Pakistan! He has asked us to come back and try Bihari...
Read moreThe food here is excellent. The only problem is that the place shouldn't be called Union Fried Chicken. Skip the american stuff. Get his chicken kebab on homemade "pita" bread. Its freaking incredible. It comes with a soda for like 7.00 and it has a side of two pieces of fried chicken!!
I don't understand how this place isn't filled all day everyday. There's parking in the back that's free. Yesterday, I had the beef briyani kebab. Beef strips grilled in a tandor on two pieces of homemade bread with a homemade salad and grilled veggies. It's incredible. The salad is great, has cucumbers, olives, lettuce, tomatoe, light dressing. It goes well beyond what you would expect.
The owner is a pleasure to talk to. The place is clean. This place is the quintessential American dream. The diversity is what makes Union a great place to live. Support this...
Read moreI had one of the worst dining experiences at this Pakistani restaurant. The ownerâs behavior was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. When I called to address a concern, he started cursing in Urduâa shocking and completely unacceptable response to a customer. On top of that, the restaurantâs practices are questionable. When I ordered naan, it wasnât even wrapped properly. Instead of using fresh aluminum foil, the owner used leftover, crumpled foil, which was unhygienic and cheap. It shows a total lack of care for customers and food presentation. I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone. The food might be decent, but the disrespectful attitude and lack of basic standards make it a place to...
