Heard this place is good for both brunch and for dinner so this review is for dinner and specifically during restaurant week.
So my thought is restaurant week is still the same food and no smaller portions. With that in mind, the entree at this place was a bit too small for me. If I didn't come during restaurant week when you don't get a full 3 course menu I would think this place was outrageously over priced for the portion you get. Therefore my recommendation is you come during restaurant or when your not super hungry. Overall place is good. I love that they source their ingredients from local farms, including the meat (44 farms same location that Knife gets it from).
I give this place a 4 star because like I said during restaurant week this place is good.
The appetizer was good (BBQ Chilli pork ribs are divine) so tender.
The cheese board is really good. I love it when it comes with a honeycomb.
The entree was small unfortunately but tasted good overall. I got the 44 farms top sirloin.
The desert was really good (panna cotta). Also loved that our waitress really went out of her way to make sure my sister had a great experience and gave us the sorbet dessert as well as my sister wasn't a fan of the panna cotta so she gave it back. To me the waitress was really what raised it a star. I would put 2 stars without tasting the brunch.
Again I haven't been here for brunch so maybe their potions for brunch are good that the one entree will be big enough...

I visited Front Room Tavern on a Saturday night before seeing a show at the McFarlin Auditorium. There we’re maybe 5 tables full. When we arrived, we were told that we could take a seat where ever we wanted (we requested outside) and that the waitress would follow us out… 38 minutes later and we had yet to see our waitress, get waters, or even menus. We ended up moving in to the bar to receive service as the bartender and the bus boy ignored our waves (we made eye contact and yet they never came over). Even with sitting at the bar, each food item we ordered took a minimum of 40 minutes to arrive (and seemed to have been left under a heat lamp) and our drinks took 20+ minutes. At one point, we ended up re-requesting a drink and the bartender did not remember that we had ordered, much less what the drink was. We ordered 3 different food items. They were good, but pretty average. An hour and 45 minutes for a dinner, solely based on service? I will not...
Read moreI’m staying at the Lumen for work and was hoping to get some soup for dinner. I call the restaurant, was routed to the front desk and told the restaurant does not have a number and that I will have to walk downstairs. I walk down and wait at the hostess stand for five minutes before a bartender gives me a funny look for waiting. I say aloud that I thought a hostess would be up here for me to talk to. She told me to take a seat anywhere. I explained that I just want to order takeout and wondering what the soup is for the night. She says she will check and does not get back to me. Another bartender walks up to me and asks what I would like. I explain I just want to know what soup they have for take out. He says he will check. I watch as both bartenders do busy work around the restaurant for about 15 minutes before getting fed up and leaving. Mind you- there were only a handful of people in the restaurant. It was not...
