Best (higher quality) Tex-Mex near SMU. New restaurant! Food was fantastic, ambience is fun and the place is clean.

Smoked brisket was super smokey and lean. Wagyu fajitas were delicious and memorable. Crispy tacos (deep fried!?!) were unique and amazing. Worth trying and returning for.

At breakfast we met Chef Ryan and he offered us the full menu. He is experienced, knowledgeable and kind. He even gave us a list of Dallas restaurant recommendations (but we returned here for dinner!).

We enjoyed no-alcohol strawberry margaritas and iced lattes from their coffee bar.

I highly recommend Los Charros and it is the closest and best place we found when visiting SMU. Would be terrific for larger parties too.

Came for a late lunch and ordered the fajitas. My waitress was initially great! But then, after sitting there for over 30 minutes, my waitress finally comes and checks on me and my food. Despite me being one of 3 diners there, they forgot my order. Was not very happy with the lack of service of checking on the food and the kitchen forgetting the 1 of 3 orders going on. I LOVE this new restaurant!! I’ve come a few times now and my favs are the smashburger taco, the fried brisket taco, and the king ranch chicken breast!
