I'm not sure how anything taste here but it smells nice. My review is about service. Although they are polite they lack ability to provide good customer service to their guest and delivery pick up orders. It seems that there is a lot of confusion going on and to many servers working on one order. I just watch different staff ask the same couple if they had been serviced. Then 2 more people tell them oh were just waiting on the Cesar salad as they are giving them their order in pieces and not the complete order. Also I saw another guy have to return to the restaurant as they had to call him back because they gave him the wrong order. Everyone is in a rush taking the personal feeling of being served out and have customers feeling rushed to give them an order. No one looks happy as they are doing their best to be patient because even though their rushing the orders are not. It is chaos in here and I think management to set better order for the servers to follow. But other than that seems as if it would be a good place to eat as it is always busy so the food must be...
Read moreWow, those guys are customer friendly (besides making great and tasteful pizzas). I visited Dallas as a tourist from Germany in December 2014. We went to Olivella's as we read they had good reviews. My wife and I both chose the same pizza... bad choice: we did not know anchovies were fish... (missing word in my vocabulary until then). The waiter saw our unhappy faces when we discovered our mistake on the warm pizzas when we tried to remove the pieces of fish. So the wonder (unseen to us in Europe) happened: he came to our table, we explained our problem. He took the pizzas away, invited us to choose new pizzas that we liked, brought the new perfect tasting pizzas and never talked about the thing again, not treating us "strange" as many would do if they did someone such a favor in an embarassing situation and not putting the thrown away pizzas on the bill. He really saved the evening! Thank you so much! We can't visit you more often for distance reasons, but be sure we told everybody who wanted to know how "it was in the...
Read moreOlivella's primary interest is serving pizza that will leave you satisfied and excited to return.
Parking is limited and dining space is small, so maybe consider take out. Well worth the experience though! If you have a small party or want some wine with your pizza, just come a little early or leave with a little extra time on your hands.
The portions are welcoming for the price, and they deliver where it counts.
Texture, temperature, ingredient quality and quantity, consistency, wait time, you name it - they've got it down.
The wait staff is memorable and amiable. They have quick recommendations, accommodations, and responsive yet unobtrusive timing.
If you want an authentic Italian style pizza, go to Olivella's.
Tip: the salad is giant, split it.
Note for Olivella's: y'all might want to put that basil on your margarita pizza nearer to the end so it doesn't wilt so much (picture included). Otherwise I'd say you have a 10/10...
