This was my third time eating at Solo. The grilled chicken sandwich is always perfect. The chicken is big enough to hang off the bun. The Chipotle aioli sauce adds the perfect hint of spice, but is not hot. The chicken is marinated, too, and honestly it would be good alone, but with the added spring lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, and swiss, it makes the perfect grilled chicken sandwich. The owner is nice. I can tell he cares about every customer and wants to make them happy. The fries are fluffy with the perfect amount of crunch. If you want something sweet, add 2 cookies or a brownie. He will heat them for you, too! My daughter loves their burgers. The kids size is perfect for her. She leaves full, but eats all of her food. They offer BYOB, and will accommodate groups. The restaurant is sparkling clean, trash is always empty, and kitchen staff wear masks and head coverings. This has quickly become our favorite place to eat! They have a variety of foods. They offer vegan options, salads, grilled and fried seafood, and every side you can imagine. Fried avocado, sweet potato fries, cheese fries, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, and fried spicy green beans are offered along with french fries and tator tots. Their sweet tea is fresh and sweet, and they have free refills on all of their teas and soft drinks. Don't let the empty restaurant fool you. They have had take-out orders, and delivery orders each time we are there. Even then, our order is made fresh and fast. Order at the desk, but meals were delivered to our table. If you prefer to wait in your car, you will get a text telling you when your order is ready, but you don't receive pesky spam advertising texts after. They just send you the alert. I highly recommend Solo to my family and friends.

Came because it was open late and its rating. It's a college area and it services Highland Park but seriously. The burger itself was decently priced especially if it's prime rib. How are frozen tater tots and a small drink the same price? Doubled the total for what? It's not about the money. There are a dozen places we go that's about 20+ a person for a burger with side and don't always even include the drink. You still want It to make sense. The quality wasn't there. No excuses. I make burgers with prime rib or any other manner of beef all the time. Never come out this dry and hard. Meat was over pressed. There is no space for the fats and makes the meat dense. Not juicey like it should be. The bread and toppings were good but the brick of meat in the center really threw it off. Service was flat. The freezer tots were overcooked. There was some kind of burn (not about temperature) flavor to them. Maybe double cooked? Too many places in the area I would rather get food. The wings would have to be more than spectacular (there was an issue so we didn't get them) My wife eats Jack in the Box! Her bar is low, she loves burgers. This is a definant no, thank you.

It's the little things. The food is good. I'm no foodie, but I like standard American fare and this is it. Enough about the food.... what motivated me to write a positive review is this little act of service they did. I had a fairly large order....or rather a large SPECIFIC order. Anyone with younger kids knows how difficult it can be to order burgers to each person's wishes....get the order right or face to consequences of an angry kid that won't eat (and the subsequent "discussion" about being grateful for a burger in the first place). Anyway, I had FOUR DIFFERENT iterations of the same hamburger + three different wing orders. If you look at the picture I posted, you see that Solo Burger was SUPER THOUGHTFUL to pack each burger in a separate bag, number each bag, AND put the corresponding number next to the order on the ticket so you knew what was in each bag. I never even asked them to do that. For those of you who don't know, the second great challenge after ordering food, is figuring out whose burger is whose when you get home. It's the little things, like this thoughtful act, which helps them stand out from the rest. Thank you solo burger.

For some reason i can’t reply to previous owner comment to my review. For starters I got a text prior to the time my order was supposed to be finished saying it was ready. Also, I was not 30 min late to pick up my order. I was around 10 min max. But regardless if you are 10 or 30 min late I know what wings taste like. The quality isn’t there. I even put them in the toaster oven when i got home to help with the overall lack of crispiness. That aside I didn’t like the wings or fries with how they are prepared. And I stand by them tasting like grocery store breaded frozen wings. I won’t be back. Spend some time sampling pluckers or Buffalo Wild Wings for quality comparisons vs time checking peoples reviews. Thanks

Updated Response: Apparently my review is "fake" and my opinion on the quality of their wings and fries is "unreal". But the establishment had time to verify my "fake order" and respond several times? Okay. Also, I'm not the only one star posted here so to say that all your reviews are 5 stars is also a lie. And the establishment is hurting their own reputation going back and forth with a customer who will never go back again when there are other better options such as wing stop and pluckers. I tried to give a smaller establishment a shot and im met with hostility. My first review was literally one sentence and ya'll had time to argue on google. Hope everyone reads these to see how they handle when someone doesnt like a chicken wing. My goodness. Continue to cook that "farm fresh" breaded no crispy tasteless wings for however long SMU students...

I’ve never had to report a restaurant before but the way this guy (which I believe is the owner) handled me yesterday left me feeling uneasy. I do deliveries part time and usually most restaurants like to see the name of the person just to verify who the delivery is for, which I showed the guy at the counter but after getting the order this man came from the back DEMANDING I show him my phone to verify that I already clicked (start delivery) before leaving the counter. At first I didn’t understand him so I kept walking then he literally yelled across the store “come back and said click start delivery” he claimed the delivery company I work for told him to do that, which I later found out was a lie when I reported his business to them and they will be escalating the issue and according to them him nor do they have the authority to make some do that, moving along he then said if you don’t want to show me then don’t pick up from here! Which would be my go to but the fact that the name on the building DOESNT match the restaurant listed on the delivery is the issue. They go under 2 different names on delivery services one is THE PASSION BURGER and the other is something wingz ( I can’t remember the name because the delivery for that was a couple weeks back) but I know it was different from this burger name. Either way if you’ve picked up from this place please report his behavior this is...
