Chambers Bay Distillery - Town Center Tasting Room — Restaurant in University Place

Their selection is limited, but this seems to be to ensure quality and a fair price. We had the whiskey flight, the lager, a mule, and a lemon drop; the bartender said they didn't officially have it on the menu, but since it is my wife's favorite they were happy to put one together.

We ordered the almonds, the charcuterie, and the fried corn kernels. We were pleased with the quality and presentation, and while I felt $25 was a bit steep for such a small charcuterie, it was certainly quite good.

Every other item on the menu was priced fairly considering the prime location and quality of both food and atmosphere. The drinks were well balanced as well.

We were there opening night and they played football on screen. Some of the male patrons were being incredibly loud and rude, shouting and startling myself and my wife. The waitress seemed to notice this and commented on it being a bit much. I am unsure if this is something management wants, because it felt much more like a cozy bar and eatery than a sports bar.

Their selection of wine is limited to champagne which I find strange. I hope this changes, and I hope they let the atmosphere continue to be cozy and not a sports bar. Overall, very happy to live within walking distance. We'll see how the...

College bar vibe. You have to order your food and drinks at the bar. There is no table service. If you can grab a staff member walking by you have to ask them to clean your table. You have to ask for water. You have to get your own silverware from a tray after they deliver your food. It’s as if plates and silverware and water and a clean table are all optional instead of standard. There were 5-6 staff members working but no one providing service. That’s a lot of overhead for zero service. If I wanted to do everything myself I could stay home and do that. The music is loud. The food was mediocre yet the cocktails were amazing. The two bright spots: 1. excellent cocktails and 2. they’re open until 10pm (a rarity in U.P.). Its disappointing. I was hopeful for a new great place. We sure could use some great options in U.P. Had to order in front. No one there to take order. We had high hopes for a local bar and this is not it. Shopped Chambers Bay Whiskey when we were there waiting for the staff and laughed when we went to Wine and More and saw the saw the same bottle's of Chamber's Bay Whiskey for cheaper. Food limited, just okay, microwave/toaster oven made. Staff Lacking.... no table service until you order in front at the cash register.
