The Beyond Burger I had the other day abounds with a certain undeniable versimilitude that, when eaten in haste and with hunger, the burger passes with flying colors. But when the patty is teased from its womb of bun, lettuce, and tomato, then something else happens altogether. The burger becomes merely an illusion, a phantom, a ghost. When eaten alone, I noticed three things. The burger patty didn't have much flavor. (Looking back now, I remember the flavors of ketchup, mayo, lettuce. The umami flavor was missing.) Next, the burger patty felt a bit soft and loose when chewed. That familiar chew was missing, replaced by random unfamiliar chewy bits. Finally, the burger patty had a pinkish color. When eaten alone, the patty becomes like a peacock in the dessert, seemingly out of place. Not bad, just different. So when all is said and done, was the burger bad? No - not at all. But would I get the burger again? Probably not because it cost just as much as a regular all meat burger. Why buy imitation when in some cases a real burger is cheaper. And finally, I googled what a Beyond burger is made of. It seems a bit overly processed with things I couldn't pronounce. So try it...
Read moreWe ordered thru the drive thru today 12/1/24. We only live 4 minutes from the store. There were only 2 cars but it took a long time to get the food. When my husband returned my cheeseburger was completely wrong, lukewarm at best as were the fries. We know exactly how my husband ordered it because I sent it to his phone and he read it to the person taking his order.( 2 weeks ago we ordered it and it was delicious hot and right) I wanted a cheeseburger with ketchup mayonnaise, lettuce, pickle. What I got was a cold cheeseburger with ketchup only and the bun was like it was under cooked ( I find that a lot at CJ’s??) $21 for this. No big deal??? Right. Wrong. They get paid $20 per hour at fast food restaurants!! There is nothing more exacerbating as this. THEN I call the number on the receipt . It just hangs up on you! Read more04/07/2019 10:15pm I'm not sure of his name, but the employee who took care of me on an understaffed night, gave me quite literally the best customer service I have had in I honestly cant remember how long!!! I had a minor oopsie in my order and had to return to the stor location listed and not only was he incredibly kind with outstanding customer service skills but went above and beyond to correct an absolutely accidental minor correction. I'm honestly going to call the store as well to let whoever the manager is know about the gem of an employee they have in an understaffed location that hasn't had the best track record with customer service , especially when it comes to mistakes on their part!! Id rate them 10 stars if only for this one employee making what is usually an unpleasant and sometimes hostile minor issue into a pleasantly surprising experience that made the day end on a great...
