Star Crab — Restaurant in Upland

This place is relatively small. Like most establishments in the same line. People were pleasant. Service was fine. At first glance, the price is noticeably less expensive than other places ie: Boiling Crab, Cajun Crab, Kinckin Crab etc. The huge surprise came when we received our food. 3 individuals each order their own pound of shrimp. It was then, I realized why the prices seemed to inexpensive. We received what looked like HALF a pound of actual shrimp. That’s when the waitress stayed “It says on the menu, the pound includes the weight of the sauce aka: liquid. I immediately looked at the menu and noticed the phrase, “All seafood bags include sauce weight.” Now, albeit my fault for not looking and reading the disclosure. But you can not deny that it is obviously masked within the text to be glossed over. AND. What other establishment ie: the examples provided above, include the weight of the sauce!?!? It’s absurd and obviously a ploy to deceive their customers. Definitely the first and last time we will visit this place. AND. The flavor? Each individual agreed that they tasted their requested flavor and spice level for about 5 minutes. And then it dissipates and each of us ONLY taste butter. 2/10 on flavor. Overall. 2/10. Just go somewhere which is more established and not going to try...

Hello my name is Malaysia Robinson I would never ever ever go to this place ever the owner is very negative and her energy is not pleasant or welcoming after going to this start crab everyday for the last 5 years I can truest say some ppl r just evil and will never change see ppl for who they truely are and believe them ..the owner has always been rude many occasion I say thank you are goodbye and she just stares at me like I’m trash 🗑️.I don’t know what happened to her or what makes her think it’s okay to treat ppl like that I always ignored her and was the bigger person and I guess that hurts even more ..on august 4 I go to place an order like I alway do and she tells me I can’t order from her restaurant doesn’t give me any reason I will be contacting my lawyer I supported this business since they opened I was there with there mother was alive this is definitely a wake up call ppl can hate for no reason but ther are consequences to every action right is right and...

Not the best experience , first of all the waitress we had was snippy, I asked her if they offered happy hour and she said, it's happy hour all the time, I said well do you have a time frame and special prices during those happy hours, and she said "no", and she walked off, and they charge for melted butter, and $2.95 for green tea bag, and they give you very low quality crab legs, let's just say that the crab legs are very small with no quality meat in them. There is an older lady that sits in the restaurant, probably the owner's mother, I don't have anything against this, it's their restaurant, but please don't let her chain smoke inside the restaurant, it's not fair to the patrons who are paying for a smoke free environment during their meal. I'm not ever going back after the terrible service from the waitress and the chain smoking, I'm sure there are city laws against this but I'm not making that phone call, let this review be a...
