I ate this evening [11-15-2021], for my first time in perhaps ten years, at the Wendy's at 3040 Northwest Blvd.
I have avoided "fast food" "hamburger-and-fries" restaurants for many years for a variety of reasons; however, a family member, completely unaware of the fact that I never eat at Wendy's, gave me a Wendy's Gift Card for my birthday so I decided to eat there this evening.
I had studied the Wendy's menu, on-line, in advance of my visit to that Wendy's, so that I would already know what to order.
When arriving at that Wendy's for my first time in many years and attempting to open the entrance door [at 5:30 p.m. or so], that door had been locked for no obvious reason so I had to move to a different entrance door before being able to enter the building.
A Wendy's employee had been in that area while I had been arriving, locking and/or unlocking the entrance doors, which had seemed quite odd to me since (1.) people had already been in that restaurant and (2.) that Wendy's does not close until 12:00 midnight.
It took quite a while for the cashier at the ordering counter to check the balance of my Wendy's Gift Card [which I had wanted to do before ordering]; she was eventually able to show me that card's balance, after a wait of three or four minutes, so that I would be able to order [knowing in advance that I would be able to pay for my meal].
My order this evening had been the following: Double Stack, Medium Fries, and Medium Frosty. I had not been aware of how absolutely huge a Medium Frosty is; a Small Frosty definitely would have been sufficient.
I then took my food to the dining area and sat down at my chosen location, as far as possible away from a large group of high school students. I immediately learned that cold air had been blowing onto my head. Please remember that today's visit to that Wendy's had been during the late fall; the air blowing onto my head really should have been warm rather than cold [or maybe should not have been blowing onto my head at all].
I moved around the dining room, looking for a wind-free location. I eventually figured out that cold air would be blowing onto my head, regardless of my location within the dining room, so I gave up on attempting to be warm. I sat in a different seat, next to the west windows, which had been cold [but not as windy] and closer to the high school students.
I had been quite cold, the entire time, while I had been there.
I should probably mention at this point that the Double Stack had been fine [and definitely had not been too large as many of the other sandwiches on the menu appear to be]; the Medium Fries had been delicious but definitely had been far saltier than I am supposed to be eating these days.
I still have enough money on my Wendy's Gift Card to be able to eat there 6.8 times [as long as I order and eat the exact same order each time]. I guess that I will be back several times in spite of the fact that the environment there is so...
Read moreI had an absolutely unacceptable experience at this location around 7 PM on a Sunday. When I walked in, staff actively avoided me, so I took a moment to look at the menu. Eventually, an employee with a headset and gloves still on approached the register and asked, "What can I get for you?" As I started to order, he abruptly cut me off, yelling, "You can wait!" before storming off.
When he returned, I calmly asked, "What was that?"—only to be immediately told to leave the restaurant. I had done nothing wrong except try to order when prompted. As I was already walking toward the door, he even called for another employee to physically chase me out.
This wasn’t a case of being short-staffed or overly busy; it was pure hostility. A simple apology would have resolved the situation, but instead, I was threatened and removed for no reason. I will never return and will make sure others are aware of this treatment.
Additionally, I will be reporting to the health department, as the same gloves used for food prep were also used on the register.
I took the photo of the employee from outside the shop as he was telling another employee to chase me and I did not feel safe in...
Read moreI tried to order from kiosk only to be only told it was down.I tried to get the order to the cashier, I even showed my phone my order that I wanted, but the cashier acted she couldn’t understand me. And she messed up our order, I ordered a brownie batter frosty frappe but all coffee with chocolate syrup. Messed up the baked potatoes and gave us a frosty we didn’t want. I came back because they forgot my apple and a receipt for the coffee since it had to rung up separately. They gave the apples and an attitude about the receipt. We used to love coming here because it is so close to our house but we are NEVER coming back because of this experience. If I could, I would give the service a -5/5 and a refund...
