Everything from the environment to the way service is provided was so thoughtfully created to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for the employees AND guests. What I thought was especially unique and added a fun touch to the experience is the order numbers you are given are playing cards and that is how they call your order to be ready. The space was accessible and open, calm, and everybody was professional but personable. I had high hopes as I knew about this franchise and the basis and origin of this coffee house brand (that I fully support and appreciate). Alas, the experience at this local shop was lackluster. There was no coaching of the young lady taking the order (nor the other baristas), the other team members were carrying on loudly about something in the news (with no coaching to help them understand a bit more about what is appropriate when working), the coffee was just ok, and every outside table was extremely wobbly to the point they were nearly unusable.
