I had two pickups for a delivery driver service here. My first customer said she’d been waiting two hours for her order. The second said it “had been awhile.” When I finally got to the counter after waiting in a line for 15 minutes, the kid working the counter had the first order for the customer who had been waiting 2 hours. When I told him the name for my second order, he said “someone already picked that up.” I said, “no they didn’t because I have the order.” He then went and checked (or so he said), and told me they had the order and it would be ready in 10 minutes. So I proceed to wait with the other customer’s food who’d been waiting 2+ hours. After 15 minutes, I asked the kid again. Now he tells me it will be 30 more minutes. I told him he just told me 15 minutes ago that it would be 10 minutes. He then tells me they don’t have the order. I tell him I’ve been standing here waiting because he told me 10 minutes and why would he tell me 10 minutes if you didn’t even have the order? He said he never actually checked on it. I asked him why he lied to me. He said, “because I’m standing here.” Those were his exact words. What?????? So I show him the order and ask him to put it in so I can get going. He looks at it and says “I’m going to write this down.” He walks away, and starts making pizzas instead. There is now a line of 20+ people waiting for pickup orders. So many delivery drivers like myself who are in the same boat. So I wait about 5 more minutes and then I call my customer and advise him that the staff at this location is not giving real answers as to what’s going on and tell him he’ll want to cancel his order. I wait for him to cancel the order, because if I cancel the pickup on my end, I get dinged for my cancellation rate. He finally cancels the order. After being in the lobby for FORTY minutes (I know this because it shows in my delivery app), I was finally able to leave. Although I could’ve left 25 minutes prior if the kid at the front didn’t lie. What the hell, Donatos??? Y’all need to get someone from Chick Fil A over there to help you figure out how to...
Read morePizza is always prepared consistently. Service in the restaurant was just mediocre which was irritating because our group of four and another group of three were the only ones in the place aside from several carry out customers that it didn't appear has any interaction with our server. We ordered two Italian salads which were premade and served in cardboard bowls with a plastic lid, with packaged salad dressing (Marzettis. So, that was good!) Our server brought them out and gave us the wrong dressings. C'mon, pay a little attention, we were the only customers in the place at that time! Next she brought one pizza out, no plates, napkins, knives, offers of cheese or pepperoni flakes, nothing. When we asked for plates and napkins our waitress didn't say anything, but eventually she brought us three paper plates. There were four of us. By this time, the threesome had ordered, probably 5 minutes after we ordered, but their pizza came out before ours. Funny. They ordered the exact same thing we did! Our pizza was finally delivered about 20 minutes after our friends got theirs. Waitress took no stock of our table, didn't ask if we needed anything, not even dessert. I knew the other customers and we kept looking at each other with perplexed gestures! We're good natured so we just laughed. But, don't go to this donatoes expecting quick, polite, and...
Read moreI ordered a "Big Don® Italian with Sausage" submarine sandwich earlier today [10-20-2018] at the Donatos at 3000 Northwest Blvd.; my very delicious sandwich had been brought to my table approximately six minutes after I had ordered it.
The speed of the service at that Donatos might not seem that remarkable except that I had decided, more than four years ago, to never eat again at that location [even though that Donatos is the closest restaurant to my apartment] because it had consistently taken approximately twenty minutes, each time I had ordered food there, to get my food.
Today, I had decided to eat there primarily as a test of the speed of the service. I ordered my food, started to take pictures in the dining room [to post to Google Maps], and then my food arrived even before I had finished taking pictures.
Now I plan to eat more often at the Donatos at 3000...
